I think there are 2 different boots of this
Mine is the first one .See thru vinyl and the label is a straightfoward copy
The other ones came out at the same time as a batch of other look-alikes (Narbay, Holly St. James, Patrice Hollaway etc)
78's have turned up in India on mainly EMI group labels with such as the Beatles and The Beach Boys on Capitol so what soul stuff that could have been released out there who knows?
Alexander Patton, Bobby Sheen? ...Possible
Not the point
Just because he is "successful" it doesn't give hinm the right to use other dj's records just because he can't be arsed to fetch his own when he has been booked to do a gig
Again probably not strictly soul but she did a couple of covers
Her name was Carol Keyes I think she came from the North East and did a version of You Beat Me To The Punch on Fontana & I seem to think that she did a cover of One In A Million but I can't remember the label

Is there anyone who can explain why some of the records issued wit a ZTSC matrix sometimes are macine stamped ,while others are simply scratched into the dead wax?
My copy of the Profiles "Take a Giant Step is scatched in and unusually is made out of vinyl instead if the usual styrene.
Edwin Starr S.O.S is machine stamped on the A side while I Have Faith in You is scratched in.
Any info on these matrix stamps would be greatfully appreciated
Hi Little Stevie
Why? by Nat Hall available on Goldmines "For Millionaires vol 4 (I think) or on a boot 45 backed with George Pepp The Feeling Is Real
Hope this helps
