*******UPDATE***** So Pete H,told me he's going in hospital for another operation (and thereafter wants to be called Daphne lol) only joking mate,we all send best wishes. Turned out to be a fantastic night,thought the numbers would be down but no loads of new faces to fill the dancefloor and with such a great guest dj Ross Feeney took hold of the decks and played a amazing set (thanks Ross) Will have you back again soon So to all who came thank you see ya next time

Great night at Arkwright Centre last night,just didn't expect that amount of people through the doors so a big thank you to everyone who came you made it special. So we're gonna do it all again next month 18th June hope to see you all again Thank you Gigs

So that's it ,the last one at Kingsway Hall,I'm absolutely gutted ,it will be so sorely missed by so many people. It seems to be having a strange effect on me because I'm sure I never felt like this when the Casino closed,Carl and the late Ian Gee built the venue/event up into such a massive soul night that people have literally travelled the length and bredth of the UK just to get to it. But all good things come to an end and Carl you did us all proud over the years and it will be remembered with great fondness down the winds of time.KTF GOODBYE KINGSWAY HALL,YOUR LIKE WILL NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN.

Coming up this month at The Arkwright Centre Northern soul night is special guest dj Carl Piper (Kingsway Hall forest Town Mansfield,) Carl from the long time running soul club has built a reputation on soul music,and was once partnered by the late great dj Mr Ian Gee,who between them turned their venue Kingsway) into what was known locally as the mini casino. So we're proud to have this well loved dj (Carl) back to grace the decks at Arkwright where he'll play in his own inimitable style for the dancers.
