  1. Well said, that man! Points I was trying to make earlier. It gets like Oprah on here sometimes
  2. Like I say, one accepts one's ebay history is visible on that site to those who want to look for it. But not everyone wants their activities displayed on another site.
  3. They know because I asked them what they thought about it. We all know that when we use ebay, our history is accessible... on ebay!
  4. I've read this thread as its developed and theres a couple of things I don't understand: 1. If the situation is as you've described, why don't you sort it as Andy suggested rather than going on about it here? Andy is right...the mechanism is in place. 2. What is the point in saying the alleged defaulter is a big name DJ and uses this site if you are not prepared to name him? Smacks of small time sensationalism. 3. Someone has copied across the bidding history for this item....why? I know one of the under-bidders... they don't come on SS, and they are, ahem, less than pleased that their ebay activities have been posted up on here.
  5. Why do you say Manship sold Nevs collection? Its a fact that Tony Clayton bought what he wanted, then sold the rest on behalf of Nev's estate. Indeed, Taffy has stated on this thread that he bought some "some great stuff and dirt cheap" from Tony.
  6. Ohhh, thats what you meant? Did I get it? Indeed I didnt!
  7. Which track of Spanky Wilson's is overplayed.... you young upstart?
  8. Del, I would imagine if we did but know Nev broke a few sounds which are now credited to places further North. Mr Donnely is on here now.... reckon he would know more than most about Nev. Dave
  9. He's still a regular DJ at the Right Track Club in Peterborough.
  10. My understanding is that Tony bought what he wanted from Nev's collection and sold the rest on behalf of Nev's widow.
  11. He is on the scene today. I've heard him play a couple of times in the last year or so and it didn't exactly make the Earth move.
  12. Certainly proves the point doesn't it? What did you think to Shane's original question btw?
  13. Enjoy the freedom while you can mate I'm astonished they put Mark in charge.... isn't there a YTS they could have given the job to?
  14. Makes sense Kenny... he was matey with the Rev. Clayton from Nottingham
  15. Bit late for you to be up Steve!?
  16. No problem Shane Surely, as Dodger said, theres plenty of the buggers still doing that?
  17. I thought it, you said it
  18. He played in the Midlands/ East Anglia as well. He certainly was at the "cutting edge" in his day.
  19. Do you mean sound right playing the same set he would have played in his heyday?
  20. Didn't even go out last night mate Assume you were at Frobishers? The two questions aren't the same IMHO....a lot of the guys who broke new ground in the 70s are still around today, but some of them I wouldn't listen to now if they were in my living room. As far as Poke is concerned, its hypothetical as he's not really into the scene any more.
  21. Two seperate questions there really Shane: 1. Who was ahead of their time? 2. Would they still be worth listening to today? My own subjective answers would be 1. Poke Hayden. 2. Probably not.
  22. Dare I say.... I prefer Chuck Jackson? (just waiting for some young RW'er to say "I've never seen a CJ version, therefore it don't exist)
  23. Awful?? Have you been turned Col?
  24. I've had a look at the names at the foot of the page Col, and none of them seem to be logged in...but you can never be sure!! We should enlist the help of George Smiley
