  1. Friday was my first time in Sleepless @ The Hub. What an incredible venue, congratulations to Danny for spoiling us rotten with a great sound system and a nice floor. Apologies about the talc but the floor seemed a bit sticky to start off with. Paul Grant next month? WAHOO!
  2. Hi, I've had these 2 books for ages & I have to move house again soon, I cant face carting them about anymore. I'm asking £2 each for them & post @ 2nd class rate is £2.12 per book. 4. not that i'm too shy to ask him for it - i've misplaced it & would really appreciate it if someone could pm me with it thanks
  5. yep - me, pip, his girl Ciara, Paul Mulholland....and an assortment of breakdancers
  6. yeah - shame on you Brett! I'm surprised by this recent outburst of yours, I always thought you were the voice of reason can you still get Brut talc? and soap on a rope? dundeedavie thanks for the addidas advice, very much appreciated
  7. ha! spending cash on expensive talc? are you mad? i get the cheapest stuff they have in the pound shop. n hell yeah! cant wait for sleepless
  8. WHAT!! I thought they always had a talc ban, what with those A4 posters on the columns saying 'no talc' or whaever. ..n people just ignored them and smuggled the talc in with their nagans
  9. https://www.trainerstation.com/catalog/prod...products_id=409 what yous reckon? are these authentic enough?
  10. nah, you've just upset me. i spent an hour tonight looking for nice wigan era adidas runners & now you're trying to tell me i wont be able to wear them in ten years time... i'm off to have a cry (next you'll be telling me there'll be no santa in 10 years time)
  11. NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
  12. can i be in on this too? we should have a soul dancing olympics at the anniversary - i can represent ireland
  13. Heatwave (is that too common?)
  14. i think these people are making a sincere effort, i cant wait to see what happens next...
  15. Hi Mike, I did tell them to make sure they came down but I think they have auditions on in the UK. We left flyers for Sleepless Nights there so hopefully a few new faces will turn up, we met some nice kids on the day...
  16. hi gang, i turned up at the audition at 11.30 this morning. but instantly lost my bottle when i saw the number of proper/professional young dancers that had arrived. it would be fair to say that none of them had an idea of what to do. if anyone in dublin is considering auditioning, go for it. The fact that you can recognise a 4/4 beat will mark you out. I'm not slagging the people that turned up, there were some great breakdancers. but most of the people danced like they were doing a top of the pops audition to dance to some shite nelly track. sure, they were a million times thinner and more flexible than me but the world of professional dancers looks like hard work n no fun. word has it the director is looking for 800 (!) dancing extras. if you look in or around 30 give it a go good luck y'all
  17. just found out the auditions tomorrow are on a concrete floor - GASP!
  18. well i think you were pretty rude about danny n paul. unless of course you intended it as a joke. which i'm hoping you did. danny n paul can fight their own battles & dont need a 5ft chimp to intervene on their behalf. but i dont like people to be rude to my friends
  19. WTF! Calling Danny and Paul a sarcastic pair of c@&$s just isnt on. I was delighted to see this thread on the go but it's ridiculous to think someone feels it's ok to turn it into a reason to insult the Irish scene. So what if you lived in Dublin for 3 years, it doesnt give you the right to be rude. I challenge you to a dancing duel! No, really, I mean it. As for the auditions in Dublin, I made enquiries, they only want dancers between the ages of 16 to 30 in attendance. I'm going on Sunday so I'll post up further details if anyone's interested.
  20. i disagree! baby pink looks nice with bottle green trousers. can anyone suggest fancy shoes for a lady? or shoes for me
  21. There was a guy at Cleethorpes on the Sunday night wearing the most incredible pair of bags I've ever seen. The trousers had about 4 ticket pockets on the back, were high waisted & were a small check. Does anyone know where trousers like that come from? n do Loakes come in girls sizes? I'd like to dress a bit better at soul nights
  22. I would like to confirm I know AT LEAST 2 people that can dance in time to this. I love this tune, I'm stamping my feet at my desk just thinking about it wendy
  23. that tune is deadly! is that washboard on there?
  24. there's no such thing as a JBS track going on too long
  25. I thought someone paid £700 for that? off a Manship auction. probably wrong though
