Another top afternoon / evening down in the basement of Heebie Jeebies for the Sink Rhythm & Soul Club….. Numbers slightly down on the average attendance which we expected as it was Fathers Day and the free Africa Oye festival was being held in the city. Plus a very busy calendar on the soul scene but we still had a great crowd in with people from all across the UK in attendance. Busy dance floor all day with the traditional mix of Sink sounds keeping everyone on their feet, top notch. Thanks to everyone who attended, your support is very much appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you Next one at the Sink is on Sunday 21st August, 3pm till 9pm down in the iconic basement of Heebie Jeebies once again—hope you can join us
  1. Yep, you can’t beat a good basement club can you? And the Sink is one of the best, a 300 year old cellar with brick arches, cool neon lighting and a superb sound system. Plus a varied and original music policy, located in one of the UKs most iconic cities, always a brilliant event.
  2. I don’t, but I do borrow Stan Evans one on occasion
  3. Does that mean we have to dance around our handbags instead, Pete?
  4. Here’s Steve. Thanks for asking me along to spin a few tunes, we really enjoyed the evening. Good crowd in a some nice sounds throughout the night. See you soon
  5. Looking forward to spinning a few sounds at the Stanley on Saturday, hope to see everyone there
  6. Just three weeks to go till we’re back down in the basement of Heebie Jeebies in Liverpool for the next Sink Rhythm & Soul Club event….. Hope you can make it
  7. Hi everyone, we’ve been informed that Burscough British Legion is to be permanently closed immediately and all our planned events are now cancelled. We would like to thanks everyone who has supported us over the last 15+ years and all the DJs and record collectors who have guested for us over the years. We think we’ve done remarkably well lasting for 15 years as a little club out in the sticks and with a music policy of rarer and underplayed sounds all on original vinyl. We’ll miss the Legion Soul nights and all the many and varied characters who have attended over the years, many who have become close friends. We’ve had some fantastic nights of great music and good laughs along the way, cheers everyone. We will be starting a new venue up later in the year and we would love to see a lot of familiar faces from Burscough Legion attending, in the meantime we hope to see everyone out and about. Take care…..Tony & Lisa
