Unfortunately yes, it happened to me.....and even worse, the record appeared on his sales list a few weeks later.

There's been a steady flow of these on eBay for buy-it-now at between $200 and $250 over the last 6 months or so.

We've got our Soul Festival poster hanging pride of place in the living room - looks great in a frame! Just wish we could have got Maxine Browns autograph too to go with the all the others. Excellent quality and great design!

I think anywhere between GBP150 to GBP200 is fair game. 'Destruction' is a top quality group harmony midtempo soulful funk cut, fairly hard drums and solid bass progressions. 'Off-spring' is an instrumental take of 'Destruction', with some great flute playing taking the lead. Quality double sider IMO.

Hello mate - I have both the LP and the 45. The 45 is earlier from '74 and seriously rare - from what I can see, there's only 3 known copies. The tracks aren't featured on the LP. The LP is from '77, and sounds more modern in production - yes, they're the same group. Lead on the 45 is Hymes Hollis as with the Gospel Roots LP. It's a very solid LP - great listen from start to finish, with a nice spread of soul and funk cuts. There's two funkier cuts 'Watoosi Lucy' (with a drumbreak if these things matter to you), plus an extended dancefloor funk cut 'Get down'. The rest is solid soul, pretty much all the way through with the highlight being 'Keep the love you got'

It's been played out at 'Funk' gigs since I heard Keb play it at the precursor gigs to Deep Funk - so around 1992-3. It was one of the few records that he pitched the speed up. He shifted it to +8, and surprisingly, it works really well.

The LP version (which is an extended cut) was bootlegged in LA in the 70's, backed with a track by a different band and released as the bootleg name Ben & the Goodies on Tell Him records. Here's a pic of the 'Manzara' side, of which the TNT Bands 'Meditation' is the flip.
