  6. Martyn, The one you have is the more common issue by the Harvey Averne Dozen - Uptite 004. The rarer on 45 & L.P. (different) cut is The Harvey Averne Band Uptite - 0015. P.S Theres a VG+ copy of Central Park Uptite 0015 0n E-Bay now, its at £65.74 with 1 Day 14 Hours left at the moment. Update the record has now sold for £97.33
  7. Never learned to dance was played in certain North Wales venues in the mid to late 70's & used to clear the floor everytime, as was "too funky" @ the time. The prices being asked now are very high for a good but not at all rare record IHMO.
  8. Great record, but the Mastering is very poor. I've never heard one that plays load & clear, which is a shame as it is otherwise a great record.!
  9. There's just been a thread on here about "Central Park". Both this & Never learned to dance are current spins, the former coming out twice 1) as Harvey Averne Dozen, then 2) Harvey Averne Band, which is the LP version.!
  10. Uncle Morts got one..........................he keeps it in Lord Lucans room, next to Shergar.!!
  11. Keith.................thanks for the tip off.! I'll alert the media & inform the staff @JD Wetherspoon in case he breaks cover.!!.

  13. Nice one Roburt, a well written & informative article.!
  14. I prefer "Central Park" to "Never learned to dance," which in my opinion is grossly overpriced. Whats the release No for the L.P. version of "Central Park".? Good luck Little Henry in finding the L.P.

  16. Thanks for the reply which was well researched. Here's a revised version of what Terry Wilson had to say about the film in his book "Tamla Motown the stories behind the UK singles." In one of Motown's most under-recognised moves, the group shot a promotional film for the single near to the end of 1964 at the behest of presenter Murray the K, in which they mimed their vocals to "Nowhere to run," in the local Ford assembly plant. Staking its claim as the first pop video, "Nowhere to run" pre-dates both Unit 4 +2's location clip for "Concrete & clay" & Bob Dylan's promotional film for "Subterranean homesick blues" by six months, a not inconsiderable coup for Motown which deserves wider acknowledgement. Yes his version of events is more informative than my first post, but I was only trying to make a point, regarding a superb piece of footage.!
  17. Yes but did they make/ produce the records & the film or Video.??
  18. Another Motown first..................recognised as the First ever Promotional type music film/video.!!
  19. WOW...................................Some bargains there.!!!
  20. I see that John Manship has Oaxaca - Stop your crying - Mariposa 131, listed on his Auction site and describes it as " perhaps the rarest Crossover 45 we have listed in memory" My question is is it that rare ? as there are several showing on Popsike with fiishing prices ranging from $ 81 to $ 609 (U.S.D.) It certainly is a great record and it's also a B side, so does anybody on here own it, or what do people think it is worth.! Please advise. Ricardo.
  21. The linings on the Swan case I have is foam & as such is very prone to wear. Try and get a case with a carpet lining which is much more durable. Security wise padlocking anything with an "eyelet" type bracket to take a padlock is as much use as a trap door in a canoe. Also the lift off type hinges @ the back can be removed in seconds with a good bar or screwdriver. I had to add two Masterlocks to the larger one of mine (J.M.) @ the front, and on the other one (Swanflight) change the rear hinge to a solid type, and add a masterlock to make it totally secure. You pay enough for the records, soo make sure they are fully secure. And hey................don't loose or forget the keys once youve secured the box. !! Ricardo.
  22. Has Celest Hardie ever been Re-Issued or booted on Reynolds ? Your comments would be appreciated.! Regards, Ricardo.
