  1. For all those having stay in tonight ... flick onto BBC2 now ... ...
  2. This was the first ever record I bought from "Phil's Records" in Stafford!!! Cost me about £1.50 I think .... lot of money in those days Still love hearing it but only if it's once every year
  3. I used to do nighters all and every weekend for many years ... then I had my little boy and things changed. Nighters then were a good laugh and nobody cared about the politics of music/DJs/what a fool they made of themselves then ... I can't spend the whole next day in bed sleeping it off with an 8 year old needing me ... I can't be doing with the "is that an original or a pressing" and "look at that daft twat smiling and having a laugh" !!!! Far too political and serious nowadays .. I'd rather go McDonalds where you can do and say what you want without someone jumping down your throat for it!!!
  4. Hi Reg I'm doing fine thanks. Almost finished my course so hopefully I'll be out and about again as soon as I get my job! I'll have a look on modculture thanks but I might just go and get one off a tout .. it's only 20 minutes up the road. Hope you and yours are all well Mandy x
  5. Hi Mark Been on ebay but there's none for Stoke .. and yes the prices are ridiculous!! Thanks for the November dates I shall certainly be going to one of those! Thanks again Mandy x
  6. I don't recall asking for stupid comments ....... if you've nothing better to say then don't bother saying it ... nobody asked you for your opinion ... I just wanted a ticket .. not childish pictures
  7. I'm not sure if this should even be put up on soul source really let alone what section to put it in!!!! I'm after a ticket for Paul Weller at Stoke on 6th May. Does anyone know of any one selling one or where I can get my hands on one! This is the first time in 4 years I haven't got a ticket due to lack of cash at the time the tickets went on sale PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thanks in anticipation Mandy
  8. Mrs Shute and I (plus hundreds of others!) saw Eddie Holman at Morecambe Pier on a scooter rally about '84 I think .. he was great!! Remember lying in a corner somewhere having drunk a few cans of strongbow singing out to "Hey There Lonely Girl" with him!! Skinheads kicked off then and I don't recall what really happened after that
  9. Didn't see that much of you, Jenny and Izaak before you went and probably won't see that much of you when you return but it's just nice to know that you'll all be back in the UK . Safe journey when you do it and I hope you settle back down quickly when you do return. Mandy xxxxx
  10. Think £250 is about right or if you're a very lucky person like my mate you can get one from a car boot for a tenner

    Tami Lynn

I'm sure Paul Hamer had one of these ... long time ago though ...
  18. Gosh, hasn't gone up much then has it. Had mine for donkeys and think it cost a tenner then!!
  19. How much does this go for nowadays in the pic sleeve? Fabulous tuuune
  20. Is that Chris Ashby from Bedford in the last piccie in the denim shirt next to Thomo?
  21. Isn't it funny the tunes you forget you used to have!! I used to love Mine was Real
  22. Was it Rozetta Johnson who did "Mine was Real" (please don't ask what label!!) I had this some years ago and if I remember rightly it was by her ... lovely tuune
  23. I heard it too and to be honest thought it was shite - no passion in his voice at all and could have got away with it being played over the loud speaker in Asda!! Ray Pollard's version is just awesome and I doubt anyone could sing it like he did.
  24. It's at times like this you realise just how precious life is. I liked Sylvia a lot, always had time for her and she always had time for me. She will be sadly missed and my thoughts and heart go out to all her family and friends. Very sad. Mandy x
