  1. So would I Col but unfortunately I'm not a moderator on this site but I've had a word with one of the lads. This is just going to get all out or proportion again and it's not needed
  2. Yet again I see this is going to turn into another slanging match between a couple of people

Ooh Winnie you had to be there!!! At the Greatstone in the summer it was so hot down there that the floor was soaking from the condensation falling from the low ceilings ... everyone brave enough to get on the dance floor was slipping or falling over so I got the 2 stool cushions and put one under each foot and danced away all night without falling over ... very funny ... even had a few people "borrowing" them when I wasn't dancing

Presume it's one and the same Steve, the one who's always with Carol McCarthy from bolton? Will have a good xmas and I'll see you NYE at Greatstone! I might even bring my beer towel to go with the stool cushion

Hi Winnie I always look at what the boys have got hanging out of their trousers ... only to see how tight the trousers are

I wish somebody would give Big Paul from Manchester one .... I had the not very nice opportunity of dancing near him at Keele on saturday and everytime he did a spin I got showered with his sweat ... not very nice at all.... and I couldn't shout at him cos I've lost my voice
  7. Is that right or has Joe put his own label on the record
  8. you really don't have to sell them all for my christmas pressie you know Wow, what a list
  9. Dear Santa & Mrs Santa of course, I too, like Linda, have been a very good girl and haven't been naughty at all this year (not that I can remember ) so please can I have a copy of Hot Sauce "Bring It Home" under the tree on christmas day morning, and I promise I'll make lots of mince pies for you and leave you a bottle of scotch with your cup of tea
  10. Although I obviously love the music, it's the people and friendship that keeps me going

And I'll just add me pennies worth .... it's a fab site and met sooooo many lovely people over the last 12 months who I can class as "mates" ... too many but special ones are all on stoke thread and KarenC who was a great help at a dull time .. thanks girl . Mike, you're brill, I really don't know how you do it, you're always so busy but always got time for us lot of "mods" moaning, groaning, passing the blame , well done young Man, lots of beer in stall at the Stoke Dayer for you. The only down side is that I was going on SS so much at work that eventually they took internet off my PC  . Start a new job next week so we'll see what I can do there
  12. Bloody Hell Mr Bear, couldn't have put it better myself .... well done that man

    Well said Karen
  14. The only reason I think there are too many venues is cos I can't get to most of them due to family commitments Before the lad I used to go somewhere every weekend, now I have to be choosey and must admit that DJs/policy is a real pull for me and I always make sure I have a good night. Mr Buck's comments about new venues being run by people who were only punters last year .... what difference does it make who is running them .... if it's a good place and good tunes etc who cares who runs it. I find most "ex-punters" are in it for the pure enjoyment not financial/egotistical pleasure (not having a go at you before you think I am )

Totally agree with all the above. Unfortunately I do not have a sense of smell (at all!!!) so when I get home from a night out be it at a soul night/pub whatever I threw my clothes in the washing machine and take a shower as I can't actually smell myself but think I must stink Also my dry cleaning bill is ridiculous to get my jackets/coats cleaned after a night out
  16. Mark if you ask him nicely and leave him plenty of mince pies Santa may lend you his sleigh as he won't be needing it for another 12 months Looking good for the 10th by the way
  17. Porgy & Monarchs - That's my girl - Sylves

Steve, I wasn't being suspicious We were just curious to know who it was ... nothing bad intended I'm sure. Just unusual to see such class tunes for sale on here that's all

I think this could be ChicagoShane changed his name if it is then they're all genuine records that belong to him
  21. He looked taller on stage so I didn't recognise him, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
  22. Not really an odd place but I sat on a wall in one of the car parks at Prestatyn a couple of years ago in the rain and hale talking toa guy who couldn't find his chalet either, both lost, honestly it was about 15 minutes into the conversation I suddenly realised it was Ray Pollard ... talk about humpty dumpty ..... I (nearly) fell off the wall
