I've had an email off Margaret Hey asking me to put the following up as she is still not able to join Soul Source. Due to the enormous support I have had from people who all share the same thoughts about a certain individual, I thought I should say a huge thank you. Still unable to post myself so Mandy has kindly offered to do it for me. Mr Roberts has threatened me yet again with legal action if I post anything else up (what's this if it isn't victimisation, defamation of character by passing my details onto other promoters, not to mention the data protection act - exactly where did you get my address from? threats, bullying, emotional trauma etc etc). By the time Mr Roberts and his associates have finished, they will have dug themselves so deep, they will have reached Australia. Something that I didn't mention before was about the chap selling the forgeries, I was told that he was bald headed, not one single hair in sight. On Sunday night at the Met, Mr Roberts associates asked a chap to leave the venue because -according to them - "That's him who's been selling the forged tickets." I witnessed this myself. The point being, this chap who was asked to leave had a full head of grey hair (I wonder what shampoo he uses). So was there more than one of them? I have been told that Mr Snow has been asking around to see if anyone knew me so I rang him to ask why. When I put this to him about this incident, he told me that there had not been one, and no, not even two, but three of them selling forged tickets. According to Mr Snow, who by the way says as he is an equal partner with Mr Roberts and so must take half of the blame, the case is going to court today regarding the forged tickets. And, apparently the police have all the tickets. So hopefully, they will be able to see how many forgeries there were. So if this is the case then hopefully one of them can come on the site and give us some answers. Thank you again for all the support. I will be selling signed photos to pay for my legal fees. Mags

I like to think that the majority of promoters are doing it for the likes of us (punters wanting a good night with good tunes and people). I honestly can say that no promoters have pissed me off more than this one .... he does make other people re-think their values of other promoters ... but they should not all be tarred with the same brush

You enjoy your pints, I think from reading the above posts that you are in no way liable for what has happened.

If Mr Roberts was an innocent, unknowing person in all this then why, oh why, did he just not apologise and refund those people who didn't get in. Instead he's making out he's the victim in all this and how dare people think otherwise. Mr Roberts - just do the decent thing, apologise, refund and stop threatening people who are just telling the truth. How you think you will make yourself sound credible with your terrible threats to a female is beyond me. Maybe you ought to stop and actually think about your actions and words first. This is an absolute disgrace. My father, who is not a soul person so looking as a complete outsider, has read all this and is astounded by the arrogance of Kev Roberts. Does he really think that other promoters are going to ban Margaret just because she told the truth and wants an apology ... WAKE UP!!!!

I love girlie mid-tempo - don't know why but I think girls just do it that bit better, don't get me wrong some male vocals are incredible, but I just prefer female voices where soul music is concerned

A girl I know tripped down a step at a Stafford Revival night a couple of years ago and went down the road of suing them due to personal injury. The club (what was the Top of The World) tried to bring the room hirer into it but failed miserably as a club it was up to them to keep an eye on health & safety issues not the people of hired the room. Don't know if this helps.

I would only allow promoters to have one nighter and/or soul night ... instead of taking up the whole country with their nights that way other promoters wouldn't have to keep checking if any other nights were on in their vicinity that clashed

Last time I saw Shaun it was at the 100 club many years ago, he was living in his car, I couldn't believe it when I saw it stacked up with clothes and boxes and food etc

I didn't know Ruth at all, but always very sad when somebody so young dies. How tragic for all her family but I always feel so much when children lose their mummy or daddy. I hope her family think of all the good times they had with her and keep those memories alive. God bless. Mandy
