Hi Guys, Welcome along to list 62, I`m still in the middle of sorting out all of those records from my last States trip but have managed to cobble together a nice list of quality soul tunes for your soulful stimulation! Sales Cds are always popular, they usually come out a few days before the main list is sent out. The Cds feature a sample of around 60 of the tracks from the main list, giving you first chane to buy the tracks you want and also enabling you to hear some tunes that may be new to you. You get 3x monthly CDs for only £5.00. I accept paypal to the usual address or you can send a cheque/ cash to the address listed below. Grading is as follows...... M Faultless/ Probably unplayed E Few light marks, still a nice copy vg More marks, maybe some surface noise but plays thru ok I will also use + or minus to indicate grades in more detail. I also offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with any record for any reason, so please buy with confidence. Payment, I accept paypal to this address chris.soul@btinternet.com or you can send cash/ cheque to; Chris Anderton, 1 Jackson Av, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 6LL. I will now also accept a direct bank transfer, this saves the hassle of sending a cheque or needless paypal fees.Postage costs are... £2.00 recorded (only insured up to £39) or £5.60 by special delivery in the UK (fully insured up to £1000). Overseas £2.00 airmail or £5.60 signed for airmail, ask if you need insurance. Please note if you do not take out the correct amount of postal insurance and your item is missing or damaged this is not my fault. A massive thank you to everyone who supported the last "Dab of Soul" session in Nantwich. This event goes from strength to strength and is now fast becoming a "must attend" night for lovers of quality 70s and crossover soul. Our next event is on Friday (for a change) December 18th and the guest DJs will be 2 of the nicest people on the scene, Rob Kay and Orwell main man Steve Plumb. As well as being nice guys they also have some tunes to die for! As always the guests will be supported by Dave Lucas and Myself.Contact me if you need any more info. I dont normally use this list for this kind of thing but I consider this to be so important I would like you all to be aware of it. A good friend of mine has had a box of 45s stolen whilst out DJing. He has no idea who could have taken the records, it could be someone from the scene or just an opportunist thief. They were taken in Hamburg, Germany but these records could surface anywhere. My recommendation then: Nuremberg Weekender ................ You could do a lot worse than get a cheap flight to Nurenburg with Air Berlin. 2 Great rooms, main 60s room upstairs (but not oldies) and a great crossover/70s room downstairs, top DJs playing something different to a packed venue (600+).Nurenburg is also a really happening city, plenty to see and do and the Xmas market that is held the same time as the weekender is the biggest in Europe i believe! It always beats me why more Brits dont make the effort to get out to this weekend, its the weekend of the year for me. Chris

Always makes me laugh when the promoters come on saying what a "Great/busy/storming/packed/awesome" night they had....but then none of the hundreds of paying punters come on and add anything about the night..........obviously it was such a top night it left them lost for words! I could definatly recomend "Dab of Soul" Dave, playlists and reviews (from paying punters) in the lookback section, be good to catch up again mate. Chris

Must be that one... None US 45 or an LP track from the "Nobody but you" LP. £50 - £60 for the 45 or £20 for the Lp should get you a copy mate. Chris. ps. Buy the LP, loads of top tracks on there, "You are the song that i cant stop singing" being my fave.

Northern Soul,modern Soul,funk,soulful House
Chris Anderton replied to a topic in All About the SOUL
For me it all depends on if you are a "Soul fan" or a "Northern soul fan". A soul fan will like soulful records from all eras, late 50s to present day and appreciate the soulful content, some of which can be danced to. The soul fan looks at the soul scene as something that is current and elvolving continiously. The Northern soul fan is a fan of the scene, is reliving what went on in the hey day of Northern soul in the 70s (even though most of them weren`t even there), wears the clothes, likes only those sounds that were played back then etc etc...Basically for these people the Northern scene is a retro scene. Chris -
A great tune at a great price...somebody snap this up! Chris.
