Bad Experience Buying A Tune (Now Resolved)
Chris Anderton replied to Phil Blacknell's topic in Look At Your Box
We all make mistakes in pricing records, as a dealer you know when you have done this because you get 10 orders for the same record in the first half an hour! I do one almost every other list, the last one was Clousel on my last list at £50...but i have to smile because although I could have got more i`m still making money on it and that was the price i put it out at. To be honest making an error really doesn`t bother me too much...at least it means people will read my list thoroughly in the future rather than it being just a list of Manship price guide stuff you often see listed...keeps the list interesting too. Sometimes I have made a maistake when i think i have 2 copies and sell them both, only to find one is not in such good shape, this is just an honest mistake and i`m nothing less than apologetic to the buyer....agreed i should be more thorough but i admit it is a genuine error. However, such as in this case, when a deal is done, its done...and nothing , not even getting a better offer should change that. This dealer wont be in business long if he treats his customers with such disrespect. Chris -
Cheers Guys...Some new ones in there for me...as has been said I dont think James was involved in a poor record! Baz, thanks for doing the compilation mate, much appreciated. Must say i had forgotten all about "Goddess of love".....I think i have joint faves by James now! Chris

I have put together a sales CD of LP tracks from LPs I have for sale. The CD contains 46 samples of tracks from original LPs, both 60s and 70s/crossover. There are no mega rarities, just some great tracks that are often overlooked by the 45 only mob! The LPs are mainly in the 10 to £30 price range I will send the Cds out free of charge to anyone who is interested in buying Lps...This stuff may be useful for DJs looking for something different to play, there are some wonderful tracks included. Please note, the CD has samples only, about 1.5 min of each track. Anyone who is interested please email me at chris.soul@btinternet.com and include your email address and your postal address. No PMs please. Cheers, Chris

I found my copy in a place called Olympic which is in Washington state in the late 90s....a very unusual place to find a Chicago record. I payed $1.00 for it, had no idea of the value/rarity at the time, i just bought it because i had heard it on a tape the week before and i quite liked it! I did find another copy in Chicago in 2003, cracked but played ok. I gave this copy to my old mate John Weston as i knew he had been looking for a copy for years. Chris. -
Still got some available.... Just email me... Chris
