Val Shively. Millions Of Rnb Records
Chris Anderton replied to Paul Byford 1's topic in All About the SOUL
Remember me and the Essex boy spending 5k in there a few years ago, went back 6 months later and he threw a wobbler when Shifty popped out for a fag....thought we were nicking stuff! Then he is all remorseful and tries to make friends again. In saying that I really like him 99% of the time despite his anger issues! Chris -

Which Dj's On The Northern Soul Scene Have Got The Balance Right
Chris Anderton replied to a topic in All About the SOUL
As far as the dancers are concerned Dave Rimmer, Ted Massey and Keith Williams have been very consistent performers for years. Also, Rob Kay can read a crowd and has that knack of playing the right tunes at the right time. Chris -
The Survivors- Good baby-Valli item is in Mint condition £150.00 Inc postage. One copy only. This is the YouTube clip of a rather crackly copy, not the one for sale but it gives you an idea of what it sounds like. Check out this video on YouTube: Thanks, Chris

A sad reflection of the many people on this scene who say they want something different but when it is delivered on their door step they dont bother to get off their fat arses and support it. This could be the first of many quality soul venues to fold in the near future due to lack of support. I had the pleasure of DJing there a few times and loved everything about it. Well done for what you achieved guys, you should be very proud. Chris

40 quid on a good day with a strong wind behind it! Chris -
So, that's $ 56 total about 38 quid for a record you are gonna sell for £50...that's 12 quid profit or 25%! Not bad in a day when everyone has 'the book', is on eBay, popsike etc. Not sure what your usual Mark up is Keith but this is good business in my opinion! Come on (whoever is playing) The Alex! Chris
