Dab of Soul by the Seaside Ticket Sale Sunday 10th February.
Chris Anderton posted an article in Event News
Ticket sale for 2019 Llandudno Weekender. We are delighted to announce that as from Sunday 10th February we will be accepting bookings for "Dab of Soul by the seaside 2019". The weekender dates are 8-10th November 2019. The event will again be held at the "Llandudno Bay Spa Hotel" situated on the sea front in beautiful Llandudno, North Wales. Main room DJs confirmed for the event are Matt Fox, Barry Maleady, Steve Plumb and Arthur Fenn. The costs for the weekend are as follows: Single room: 49.00 per person per night Double/Twin room: £49.00 per person per night Weekend Pass: £40.00 per person All room costs include breakfast. The event will run from 2.00pm on Friday 8th November and end at 2.00pm on Sunday 10th November. The music will run until 3.00am on the Friday and Saturday night. Considering the success of our previous events we expect demand to be very high and therefore in order to give everyone a fair chance there are a very specific set of instructions that must be followed in order to book for this event. Booking opens for hotel with weekend passes at 2.00pm on Sunday 10th February 2019. Simply send an email to chris.soul@btinternet.com stating the following: What type of room and how many weekend passes you would like. Name and address of all people attending. How you would like to pay (See below) If you have special room requirements because of medical needs. You will receive an email back confirming your booking with a total cost. In the event that your desired accommodation is not available you will also receive email notification. Any emails received before 2.00pm will not be included. If you choose to pay by paypal all payments must be received by 6.00pm on Sunday 10th February. The address for your paypal payment is: adabofsoul@btinternet.com If you choose to pay by cheque all payments must be received by Thursday 14th February unless otherwise arranged. Please send all cheques made payable to C.Anderton to 1 Jackson Av, Nantwich, Cheshire,CW5 6LL Booking will be done on a strictly first come first served basis. All booking emails will be answered in order. Once the hotel has sold out notification will be posted in the Dab of Soul facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/175475195837958/ Weekend only passes priced at £40.00 are also available and can be booked in the same way as above. Any payments not received by the allotted times and dates will be cancelled. You can stay at the hotel on the Thursday or Sunday night for the same reduced rate. To book this please contact Dave on dal07@btinternet.com If you make a booking and are then unable to attend the event you are responsible for selling your own booking although we would help by advertising it on the FaceBook page etc. No refunds will be given. There are no "One night" passes available. Daytime "Collectors spots" will be confirmed nearer to the event. I know this set of instructions may seem a little anal but we just want to make booking quick and easy for everyone. Demand will be high, my advice would be to sit by your computer and send the email at exactly 2 O`clock!! Obviously booking is still a couple of weeks away so if you have any questions or issues in the meantime please don`t hesitate to ask. Thanks, Chris and Dave ps. Don`t forget you can catch us on the "Dab of Soul" Radio show every Monday between 8.00 and 10.00pm on www.thisisthecat.com or catch up any time on www.mixcloud.com/dabofsoul -

Ernest Ernie & The Sincerities - 7" release
Chris Anderton replied to Seano's topic in Look At Your Box
The re-press is not due until the end of March apparently. My guess is that we'll all be sick of hearing it 3 times a night by then and the record will be "dead" as far as demand from DJs goes. Then again some of these guys are still playing "Thumb a ride"! Chris -

I think more likely that the chancers have just removed it from sale after bad publicity rather than it has sold....but who knows! Chris -

Phil, I guess over the next few months the record will find it's level as any duplicate copies will come up for sale. I would suggest that that level would be nowhere near 200 quid...nearer 50 maybe. Chris -

Not seen and reasonably priced copies mate...only £200+ on Discogs. I guess it depends on what you call reasonably priced? There is demand for this in the US too....500 copies could soon melt away into collections. I buy loads of this new release stuff and I don't even play them, just put them in a box in the record room. Chris -
Ernest Ernie & The Sincerities - 7" release
Chris Anderton replied to Seano's topic in Look At Your Box
Andy Lothian from the record company posted this on FB: Guys, there are still copies of Ernest Ernie around, albeit decreasing in numbers by the day. As to why we didn’t press up 1000? Simple really, most releases don’t warrant being pressed for 1000 - and that includes excellent releases that we’ve done well on previously including BAGS, R&R SOUL ORCHESTRA, TONY DRAKE and others. It was never about making it an exclusive record, it was about pressing up the right number to satisfy what we thought would be genuine demand. As correctly stated earlier, there are no plans or discussions regarding a second pressing. I got to go hunt out the next release!!! He also goes on to say there were 500 copies pressed. Chris -
