  1. More info here Sebastian: https://www.soulwalking.co.uk/Double%20Exposure.html
  2. Can anyone help out with this? I've got 2 copies. One is on Coed by Joy-Tones with credits to Al Stewart & Tony Middleton. The other one (which sounds identical) is on Kapp by The Love Potion with credits to J. Elliot & Harry Dupree. This one has a stamp on it saying Feb 23 1969. Which one came first. Who did write it and is there any difference in rarity or price?? A tall order I know, but I'm sure someone has all the answers.
  3. Thanks for your quick answer. Didn't expect it to be that rare to be honest. I've got the LP as well, but was just curious about the 7". It was a car boot find anyway
  4. Anyone know the price of Carlos Malcolm - Bustin' outta the ghetto on 7" please? TIA
  5. Having read alI this I find it rather depressing that apparently everyone knows but are saying nothing. I personally do not know and probably wouldn't if I was told. As fear of reprisals seem likely, wouldn't it make more sense to do maybe something like this: Everyone on this forum tells 10 other people via PM. If you receive a PM then do likewise. No one is a grass, but everyone knows who to avoid. If the person involved is sent to Coventry they might just avoid the scene completely and look elsewhere for their pickings.......Just an idea.
  6. Thanks Chalky...don't s'pose you know which one though do you?
  7. Thanks. What does that make mine then?? It's silver writing on black label. I can't find it right now so I'm unable to tell you what's in the run out groove. Anyone?
  8. Can someone please tell me what a boot/2nd issue should look like compared to a Champion original?? Thanks
  9. Barry Scruggs: Between £400 ish
  10. Here's two that always sound good to me:
  11. Mid tempo always a winner for me. Especially this Bobby Wilburn track.
  12. He acted a lot calmer than I would have
  13. Mr D. Gotta agree with you on this. Massive tune that will go even bigger when played in the right places. . How much in today's market???........£250????
  14. I quite like this little Fame 'stepper'
  15. Anybody else see this? https://cgi.ebay.com/TYRONE-DAVIS-14K-YELLO...1QQcmdZViewItem
  16. Makes Russ's copy seem a bargain now eh?
  17. I saw her at The Jazz Cafe in October and she was brilliant. (Shame about Sweet Charles). My only disappointment was, she didn't do 'This Girl's in Love With You'. See her if you get the chance.

The only vinyl I know of that it was on was one of those Planters Club comps. Nice version by Funk Inc. on their Priced To Sell LP as well
  19. Not a favourite, but just digging through some vinyl & quite liked: Tomorrow's Wish -My Love With You / You Happened To Me - Coastal Records. I forgot how much the A side sounds like Tearra - Loving You
  20. Denise LaSalle - Heartbreaker Of The Year. The worst out of tune horn section you'll ever hear, but damn fine vocals
  21. I did bring this up with my friend who I explained to, that most collectors/DJ's would rather spend £2,000 + on more records than on insurance. After all they've sat there OK for this amount of time. She's determined to keep the prices reasonable with no claims bonuses as well. The insurers will charge less if you have them all catalogued, receipted (E bay buys are easy with Paypal), don't carry them or leave them in the boot of your car etc. Like I mentioned earlier, you will have the option of just insuring the more expensive records rather than insuring the whole lot. Sounds like she'll have her work cut out. When she does her bit, I'll let you all know.
  22. In no particular order: Venue: The Orwell - Monumental - A New Chapter & my bed Tune: Mac Davis - I'm just in love DJ's: Too many to mention
  23. It looks like the insurance company will go with a 'graduating' scale of insurance. ie: 100 £10-ers @ x? amount. 100 £100-ers @ x? amount. That sort of thing. When the full details are released I'll let you know. It will cover worldwide insurance as well, not just UK
  24. I've just got in from a few beers and went to KFC opposite Liverpool Street Station for a zinger burger. The piped music played Tony Clarke- Landslide, a version of Solomon Burke's-Cry to me (not the ballady one by Betty forgot her name) & Rose Batiste-Hit & Run. Good to hear stuff like that 'out' even though I'm not a Northern bod. My bubble was burst though when the cab home had I Will Survive playing. Just as well it's only a short journey!!
