Now available at A Nickel And A Nail! DAVE GODIN: A NORTHERN SOUL - a new book by Stephen Stevlor. Dave Godin: a man who needs little introduction to the soul music community. Author Stephen Stevlor presents a long awaited biographical account of Godin, commencing with his discovery of R&B in the 1950s as a teenager and a connection with the Rolling Stones. Godin would go on to pursue a number of different directions related to his beloved musical genre, such as his appointment as Tamla Motown's UK representative, as owner of the Soul City record store and label, literary contributions to Blues & Soul, Black Music and Soulful Kinda Music, and latter day collaborations with Ace / Kent Records on the Deep Soul Treasures series. Stevlor tells the story of the man and his music, as well as Dave Godin's other personal interests in politics and civil rights (gloss illustrated paperback, new). Order via link https://a-nickel-and-a-nail.myshopify.com/collections/books/products/dave-godin-a-northern-soul-stephen-stevlor
