  3. Got one for you- I am currently researching for a book on beach bands of the 1960s. This morning one band member I'm talking to put me onto a very shortlived band, that I've never heard of, nor of the band members themselves. They never released anything but did do a demo session which a member copied reel to reel to cd at home last year for a mate - just trying to get a copy now and peeing my pants! If any good (and info suggests may be, but even if not) it's amazing to think these guys would have gone completely unnoticed outside their own hometown (literally) had it not been for a chance remark - the lead singers own kids only found out he was in a band last year!

  10. Yep just seen the Hour Glass LP, hardish too for an Lp it appears, (90ish euros one spotted but long gone)
  11. Not heard the Hour Glass thing, I like it! The blurb points to a west coast production but has an extremely beachy south east feel to it, maybe not surprising since the Allman Bros were I believe from Macon, and Georgia is next door to Carolinas! Is this on 45?
  12. Quickie, for the record, who played Bob Collins & Fabulous Five's 'Inventory on heartaches' in the UK first please, and where, and was it initially covered up (yes I know about the flip but need this info specifically on this side) Cheers guys n gals, Mark.

  14. Asked about this a while back but no joy, thought I'd try again.... Anthony & Aqualads on Gold bee - anybody know who A or S Goldner is, who produced & presumably owned the (one off) label? I'm hypothesising it could be could it be the dodgey gambling George Goldner of doowop labels / Red bird etc fame, but could well be wrong? Or alternatively, does anybody know anything about an Sam or Al Goldner who looked after the (4) Intruders? Thanks, Mark.

  18. Hi Chris, nice site well done, can I suggest as you develop it, consider a search option to view in price order (ascending / descending) bit like ebay / JM etc., its a useful function for those at both ends of the spectrum, for budget limited folk, and for those who like to spend wads of cash on single items
  19. Still after one of these if anybody's got one, pm me please
  20. Cheers Chalky, anybody remember the year or where they heard it played out?
  21. Trying to get some info on this.... Athens rogues: I read this probably first appeared on a Gary Spencer tape in the early 90's as a c/u - can anyone remember the c/u artist and title? Also who played it first out - Gary? Pat Brady been mentioned but need confirmation. Thanks folks Mark
  22. Cheers Chalky, already checked Greg Hayne's online stuff though but no joy. Will keep looking, or meantime anybody? Mark
