  9. Just to echo Simons comments thanks to Mike and the team .In a world populated mainly by Divvies Soul Source is a place of sanctuary , brings back memories and the depth of knowledge is staggering . Soul Source has enabled me to get in touch with old freinds and hopefully new ones
  10. I am a couple of years older than Jacko never really got him , as a kid I thought he was precosios and later a charactature just never seemed real to me . I didnt mind the jokes upon his death to me it didnt matter . Last night I sat there totally mesmerised by the spectacle squirmed as I heard Al Sharptons speach/ sermon the same one he uses whenever a leading black figure dies . Stevie was crap but he has been that way since he started braiding his hair the rest of it to me wasnt hitting the spot until ..................a little girl spoke about losing her Daddy that was the sucker punch for me .

  12. Wether we like to admit it or not the NS scene is a middle age scene so is not attractive to young people . The NS scene has been in the public domain for years and its not become mainstream simply because most people dont like it . Black music generaly has a hard time if you look at any of those 100 greatest album list shows on tv there are only two or so artists featured Jackson and Whitney houston so rare soul is always going to be an aquired taste . It doesnt bother me though I get what I want out of soul music if other people dont then tough .
  13. It was played in Northern soul clubs so it is northern soul not bad for a jazz funk sound innit
