    We need young DJs that look like they enjoy doing what they are doing remember Martyn Ellis and Dave Evison as young men both different but infectios with thier enthusiasm . Most djs that I see hardly smile and mumble into the mike very off putting especially to younger people . So c,mon djs entertain us or we will have a bleak future .

    A lot of the Motown albums inner sleeves had promotions on them selling merchandice and such , but I wouldnt have thought there was a market for this stuff its hardly rare . What a strange world a fool and his money

    Ko ko Taylor , Gwen Mcrae two outstanding RnB artists with records that fit the northern soul template , Fats Domino it keeps raining one of my all time favorites Northern or RnB who cares its brilliant and that doesnt fit the template . I personally have never heard a DJ play out and out Rock and roll or doo wop at a soul event , having said that there are some blurry edges, but isnt that what keeps the scene moving . If the punters dont like it the DJ will soon get the message

    Easter sunday 1976 on my way to the Ritz a bloke jumped in front of the train at Heaton Chapel station put me right off my eggs . Above the door was a sign that read "Some of the most beautifull women in the world have walked through these doors " liars I met my ex wife there Despite all that one of the best venues ever

    I am in no way a serios collector but I have a few I love my British labels , the thrill for me is that they were so readilly available and yet so many of them slipped through our fingers , and now rightly so are highly prized collectors items . As far as I am concerned they are original relleases albeit on British labels .
