  1. Too much hair Steve
  2. Dave was a personality indeed, I used to enjoy a chat with him, he had some right tales to tell. Sad to hear of his passing, condolences to his family and friends. RIP Dave
  3. That will be an age thing Russ Anyway ... a Goldfinch on teasel
  4. UK - Water Rail ... US - Virginia Rail
  5. Rufus Woods for me, always loved dancing to it, it has got an edge to it ... but never thought it would fetch that sort of money.
  6. They do not ask your location when completing the form
  7. I went to nearly all of them from the early days when Barry and Pete ran them, right up up to yours and Sams last one Steve, certainly left some shoe leather on that dance floor.
  8. Terrible news, a really nice guy with a great sense of humour, still cannot believe it, so sad. Rest in peace old friend Martyn & Carol x
  9. So far this year I have seen Redwing, Fieldfare, Blackcaps, Gold Crest, Greenfinch, and Green Woodpecker in the garden, as well as the usual garden birds. A Fieldfare standing proud (this one was at Belvide whilst I was out exercising, I walked just over 5 miles carrying 7.5kg of camera and tripod on my shoulder that day ... I need a caddie ).
  10. Happy New Year all A Stonechat
  11. He is having a laugh ... I would expect postage to be included at that price
  12. Very true Steve ... hard to believe, but I have even seen you on a dance floor ... once

  14. I bought one back in the 70's Wigan days, wouldn't have paid more than 50p for it, sure it was getting played back then ... Golden World records were like cheap ballast in the sales boxes in those days, 50p each or 3 for a quid Another copy that isn't getting sold
  15. Juvenile Peregrine chasing ducks, it still has a lot to learn on how to use that 200mph flight properly ... and also waterfowl can disappear underwater
  16. Nice one Steve, pleased for you my friend
  17. Had this the other week, it was early and the light was poor, it was in the shadow of the dam, and they are bloody small and quick ... it was a plus for me that I got it in focus, better light and it would have been a beauty, especially with the reflection (not one bird flying below another as one twitter user thought)
  18. I really haven't been spending enough time with my camera, but I managed these at the weekend. They had drained a fair amount of water from the reservoir so they could inspect the wall of the dam, we took advantage and refurbed some of the islands (well some guys with big machines did). So its starting to fill up again now which is good as the shore line is miles away from the path except in a couple of places where I got this fella. A Little Egret
  19. I do, if I flag his name he may see this thread and answer the question, either that or you could send him a message @Dave Rimmer
  20. You could always ask Dave Rimmer whose site it is, he is a member on here.
  21. One of my all time favourite tracks, Man O Man, if you left a comment on any of their YouTube videos there was a good chance that Clifford would respond. In later years they performed as The Green Berets RIP Clifford, you brought us some fabulous memories, thank you.
  22. RIP Stirling Always tried to play one or the other when the chance arose
  23. I first met Hippo over 40 years ago, gave him a lift a few times when he was stuck, a superb DJ with a fantastic knowledge of music, was always a pleasure to catch up with him over the years, a nicer person you would not find. Really sad to hear of his passing, rest easy my old friend x
  24. Sorry Zanetti I see what you mean, it showed as finished at 18:00 in your original screen grab.
  25. To prevent the use of bid sniping software John has a system in place where if a bid is made in the dying seconds, the deadline is automatically extended by a further 3 minutes, if a further bid is made during that extra time a further 3 minutes is added and so on until there are no further bids. It is explained here on his website https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/how-auction-works/
