  1. Was that Wolverhampton Pete? I have made complaints about a large DIY store, and a major energy supplier to be told that they would put it on file, but would only act if they received multiple complaints. They were however helpful when telephoned.
  2. Soulfox, The sale of goods act applies in so much any item sold must be fit for purpose. If it will not play or has any defect, you have the right to your money back, you do not have to accept a replacement, you can if you want, but it is your choice. Trading standards will only act on persistant offenders, your only recourse should the vendor not refund or replace is through the small claims court.
  3. How about the Isley Brothers chaps?
  4. Kenneth, no sorry lost you after about five words there..... not sure which Butch track you mean.....but Billy The Butler gets a definate thumbs up from the Midlands Martyn
  5. Kenneth, About £25 - £30 on Brunswick, played it last time out. Manship did have some recently. Martyn
  6. Hi Rick, I too have both singles, two of my favourite Northern Soul singles, I try and play at least one of them when I am out djing. I have managed to play them both in an hour set once. What makes them for me is their raw drive, and the edge they have, you dont listen to the records, you let them grab you by the scruff of the neck and drag you on the dance floor. Top tunes, absolute top tunes. Thanks for the picture. Martyn
  7. It wouldn't be 4 Hedgehogs would it Pete? (There is more than one gag here.) PS. I like it
  8. Well done Dave, must admit though I thought it was a pints consumed counter!
  9. Billy, Mark did have one for sale at the last Winsford, it was marked at £1500 I think.
  10. Davie, Just checked my copy in the flesh 'Something Touched Me' is marked as the plug side. Thats the trouble with trusting the memory cells late at night at my age. Regards Martyn
  11. Davie, Its on Mala, and is the B side of I'm gonna stick with you...which is a superb mid tempo track. Totally different to the 'Something touched me' side. I paid about £50 for it 6 years ago, I think I have seen one or two since in boxes around £100, depends who you buy it off. I think Tim Ashebende had one. Good hunting Martyn
