  4. A very sad day indeed. We have known Crispy for 12 years, a lovely lovely man. Our condolences to you Pete, also to his family. Carol and Martyn Tim Fletcher from Coventry has asked me to say how deeply saddened and shocked he is by the sudden death of his very close friend Crispy.
  5. Always had a laugh with Nige, taking the piss out of each other, I shall miss him, and his shirts. RIP my friend, you will be missed. Condolences to his family, Lindsay and his best mate Browny. Our thoughts are with you Martyn & Carol
  6. This record is pure Northern Soul, played it out a few times, but has yet to catch on. Martyn
  7. But not as smug as Matt who got his for nothing.... or me who only paid 50p for it..... or Hippo who probably got his for 'old money' Martyn
  8. Matt, it was an issue Martyn
  9. Good job you did Mike, the one on JM's auction just fetched £458 Martyn
  10. Got that Jo. Martyn
  11. I'll behave now Jo The version on the 'City of Angels' album is a full 6min 45sec so will be the same as the 12". I had a suspicion that it was, but had to rumage through my vaults to confirm the fact. Any problems getting the download off Neil let me know by PM and I can burn it to CD for you. Martyn
  12. You are not wrong, very nice tune I am sure the last person I heard play this was Gavin Page, but it was a long time ago, and old age is taking its toll on my memory banks. Martyn
  13. 7" no good to you then Jo Martyn
  14. You also want to look out for the look alike boots that were made back in the 70's. There were from memory white demo's, and blue ones done, the latter were a very close match, but did not have ' exclusively manufactured by Buddah Records' around the bottom edge of the label. Martyn
  15. The thing is Hippo you are not alone, which is why this once sub £1.00 record will fetch around £200 today. Take care Martyn
  16. Its the least I can do if that nasty Hippo wont let you have his for a tenner Martyn
  17. John Manship has one on his auction at the moment. Martyn
  18. I tell you what Nige, just go for the sense of humour and personality transplant Hope to see you soon Lots of love Martyn xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  19. Pete, There is no difference between this, and the auction item you had removed is there? So why do eBay allow this one but not yours? Martyn
  20. From the same source... Original - noun - A person who is appealingly odd or curious; a character. Martyn
  21. Original - adj - Preceding all others in time; first. From dictionary.com Martyn
  22. Without question, as they are the first incarnation of the record Subject closed, next question Martyn
  23. You may be correct, but the authenticity of this particular record has been covered many times on here, worth a read, in particular the ones where Mr Cole himself contributes. Here is a link to a previous thread on this subject, which contains links to even earlier threads discussing this very question. /index.p...=Mixed+Emotions Martyn
  24. Mick, the ones that were available in the 70's did not have the arrangers credit below the bands name. Not sure exactly when the ones like your scan appeared, but there were several threads in the past, on this forum about this, and what fun they were Martyn
  25. Nige Hope its nothing serious, send him our best wishes please Love hugs and kisses Martyn & Carol (The love and hugs are from Carol, the kisses are from me)
