A very sad day indeed. We have known Crispy for 12 years, a lovely lovely man.
Our condolences to you Pete, also to his family.

Tim Fletcher from Coventry has asked me to say how deeply saddened and shocked he is by the sudden death of his very close friend Crispy.
Always had a laugh with Nige, taking the piss out of each other, I shall miss him, and his shirts.
RIP my friend, you will be missed.
Condolences to his family, Lindsay and his best mate Browny.
Our thoughts are with you

I'll behave now Jo
The version on the 'City of Angels' album is a full 6min 45sec so will be the same as the 12".
I had a suspicion that it was, but had to rumage through my vaults to confirm the fact.
Any problems getting the download off Neil let me know by PM and I can burn it to CD for you.
Martyn
You are not wrong, very nice tune
I am sure the last person I heard play this was Gavin Page, but it was a long time ago, and old age is taking its toll on my memory banks.

You also want to look out for the look alike boots that were made back in the 70's. There were from memory white demo's, and blue ones done, the latter were a very close match, but did not have ' exclusively manufactured by Buddah Records' around the bottom edge of the label.
Martyn
You may be correct, but the authenticity of this particular record has been covered many times on here, worth a read, in particular the ones where Mr Cole himself contributes.
Here is a link to a previous thread on this subject, which contains links to even earlier threads discussing this very question.

Mick, the ones that were available in the 70's did not have the arrangers credit below the bands name.
Not sure exactly when the ones like your scan appeared, but there were several threads in the past, on this forum about this, and what fun they were
