  7. It was actually darker than it looks in those images ... probably why there are not many videos of the place, would have needed military grade thermal imaging kit.
  8. Hi Ken ... there are plenty of other clips with a variety of music 60s 70s etc, basically soul music to dance to, I just posted the first one I found. At my age I am just glad I managed to get the pretty moving picture from one place to another . I am envious in so much that to many of them these are "new" tunes they are hearing for the first time, it takes me back to 74 / 75 hearing stuff for the first time for me, I hope that they can keep it going, they seem to be having fun and enjoying themselves.
  9. Think I have seen some recent footage of a soul night full of youngsters in Peckham .. here you go
  10. Looking forward to this, Tonys was always a big favourite of mine both as a dancer and a DJ.
  11. Back in 2005 Rick Beard the guitarist paid a visit to Soul Source, I ended up corresponding with him, he couldn't believe how popular the two singles were over here.

  13. Baz the other side is better
  14. These were around about mid 70's, fairly sure they are boots (was of this opinion at the time), would be odd for a legal issue not to have the writers name credited.
  15. Hope so, loved it there, atmosphere people music and dance floor all top notch.
  16. Sad news to read of Dave's passing, remember him from the early 90's when we would see him out and about with his camera, a lovely guy with a great sense of humour. RIP
  17. Happy birthday Steve
  18. Sad to hear of the passing of Neil Allen or to everyone out there Nogger. A good friend and Stoke legend, sorry to say he has finally lost his long fight with illness and has gone to the turntables in the sky. I shall never forget him, particularly his advice before my first ever spot at Keele ... "if you f*** it up I shall boot you all round that dance floor". He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Rest peacefully dear friend Martyn & Carol x

  22. There is another version released in 1969 by Geoffrey Meteliko (not sure which is the original and which is the cover). More at home in a jazz lounge, but interesting take all the same.
  23. As it was co written by Ashford I always assumed it was the original by Lorraine ... thanks for the info
