  3. surely This thread asked what entices you to the floor as a dancer..........not how do you entice dancers onto the floor as a collector who aspires to be tony blackburn, If Im at a do....(and i do dj have done since 1980).... the tracks that entice me onto the floor are Freddie houston, if i had known, the appreciations, its better to cry, melba moore standing right here....and many more in that style Geeoooooooordie
  4. was a regular play of mine and had been i believe unheard in barnsley till i played it, I was the instigator of bri pinch nearly going mad trying to find one after he heard me play it at the lacourum in barnsley, as his brother dave has quoted they managed to find three after 3-4 years of solid searching and if im right a couple came from the same seller issue and demo...very scarce record on both demos and issue... cracking sound i still have my demo wont part with it. Geeeooooordie

  9. We at the friendship have from day one calibrated our equipment and ensured the cartridges and styli are either new or only around 6 hours play old, we also spend around four hours before a venue after weve set up the gear..getting the sound right when we had mr bicknell on in december 2004 we had renewed the cartridges and stylus that night but we had just replaced them in the previous night in november...there was too much at stake not to do that in our opinion. we might be bloody minded about it but it pays..we always have a top notch sound,,and no damaged tunes Geeooooordie
  10. ive collected from a very young age, i think it stemmed from my fathers love of music, he would buy lock himself in the front room and get lost in his music,... i am now my father... doing the very same, i collect for me..the fact that i can play my tunes out gives me a certain amount of pleasure..but to sit on my own and get totally absorbed by the production of a tune that i find is sheer class whether its fast or slow and try to feel what it was like to make that tune..blows me away that sometimes i get close to tears...and to own it in its original format gives ...for me. the complete package..its not about price or rarity its about bloody well produced records that blow ME away.. personaly im not bothered about waving my cock...its done its duty and pleasured a few ladies and filled two prams..and i look straight ahead in the urinals Geeooooordie
  11. dear me, not soul... just utter crap geoooordie
  12. If i remember rightly this was debated on here a few years ago and someone had actually gone to Salomones address and found only a middle aged rather plump woman who claimed coulnt speak english...whos to say its a man it might be her... its a bloody disgrace any way you look at it...buyers beware ouch..threads like this make buying from Johnny manship attractive (only joking john) Geeooooooordie

  22. there was only 24 see my comments on other thread but even if there had been 100 i doubt it would have made a massive difference to the price as good quality copies were always very hard to come by, have come across a couple of danced on ones in my time but allways a hard record regardless....im bemused that many want to now dumb it down coz a few have been found.....hope it doesnt get relegated to "out on the floor" status by the soul snobs Geeooooordie
