  1. I've still got numbers, 1,4,6,38,40 and 44, had many of the others too over the years, the wonders of collecting and DJ'ing i guess, funnny how your taste changes and matures over the years, still quality never dates or changes does it????? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  2. We have all made mistakes Ian, i bet between us we have dropped some major bollocks over the years, still all part of the game mate, if you ain't in you can't win, and no Cliff does not often let one slip by...........and yes i miss the birch mate, maybe we need a midweek gig in the area again, now there's a thought....lol Mark Bicknell.

  4. Yes mate £8.00 i can remember who i got it off and where i got it, Blackburn Allnighter a good few years ago, always had a good ear for a tune....lol and I think Davie is about right on his valuation well worth £500.00 and it don't turn up that often. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  5. Richard, i think Shifty had one listed recently for £450.00? seen it for as much as £600.00 a bit back, i'm glad i got mine for £8.00 a few years ago...well i was one of the first DJ's to play it....oh those were the days....lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.

  17. I saw the following information in Metro Life free paper Thursday August 3rd 2006 on the way to work the other day and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it? Film Soulies ................................................................................ ........................................................ Curtain Prodductions premieres it's short film about the Northern Soul dancehall scene, followed by a soundtrack of Motown classics. This happened at The Circle Club, 13 Barton Arcade, Central Manchester, there was website listed www.wigan-casino.co.uk I checked the website and was still confused as there was no information on there about the film? Suprised there was no details of this on SS or have i missed something......keep the faith..lol Mark Bicknell.
  18. I stand corrected, i guess i meant a 60's album, still i can't get out of that can i. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  19. Someone mentioned 'Rare Stamps' so another two names up from me as they shared an album but no solo as far as i'm aware J.J. Barnes and of course Steve Mancha...oh and add Lee Rogers to the mix can't count a re issue album from a few years ago but i guess we are talking from the time i.e the 60's???? all three of these prolific singers could have relesed an album at the time but sadly never did. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  20. Grant, There will be a picture soon i promise....lol regarding tips for your show, simply be yourself, play from the heart, plan nothing, select tunes as they come rather than pre selecting, thats how i've always done it, seems to work from a man like myself with limited talent....lol and yes i would love to guest sometime when you are up and running, good luck with the show. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  21. Chris, For what it's worth mate i don't think it's a copper, off duty or not a policeman would have called upon his friends straight away mate, also the spelling, bad grammer etc. this is not written by a policeman again they would have acted with the more direct approach however, policeman or not this letter will i'm sure prove disaster to the venue and it's promoter, i reckon it's someone having a very nasty dig here, not nice at all. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  22. There should be no cock - up's this coming Sunday, so enjoy The Orwell wall of sound with Mr Maleedy...........................tunes!!!!!! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
