  1. One of the most sexy logos ever...and what a tune!!! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  2. Different from the normal green and yellow type face copies. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  3. I think so Joe although there is no Promo/Demo ident on it, Shane Cox seems to think it's a Demo when we did the Chicago night at The Frobisher a bit back, i seem to remember the stock/issues of this being White and Blue? never seen another one like mine mate. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  4. I'm pretty sure you guy's won't need a 'Helping Hand' tonight over there in Sheffield, have a top night. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  5. Majestic record which you don't often see. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  6. Which one?, good luck with the gig tonight Joe, i've been pushing both the soul night and the charity alldayer on the show for Shane, hope it goes well. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  7. Great logo and an even greater record! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  8. You can tell i'm bored today, just looking at a few records and thought how good some of the logo's look...some of my favorite things. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  9. I'm sure i could work it out mate but i'm too scared...lol good record though! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  10. Result then Pete, i think you were bang on with your asking price...so the Milky Bars are on you then pal...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  11. Sorry, i would if i could but i can't, i'm totally useless with this kind of stuff, plus my PC has no sound it's falling to bits, the turntable is upstairs and i don't know really how to do it sorry, best i can do is play it on the show over the next few weeks, www.solarradio.com say on Sunday August 5th...best i can do...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  12. I 've had this record for maybe twenty years, The Uptowners - Such A Love - Captown - always rated it but never played it out much if at all, in the price guides i think at around £250.00 but just wondering if anyone knows about it or likes it even, nice group record that needs a couple of plays then it's quality hooks you, a little messy to start with but there is something there? Proper Northern! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  13. If you can pick this up for a tenner now you will be doing very well indeed, i think it's much harder than 'The Chosen Few'. I bet you would not get much change out of £75.00 for this one - Crown Four - Birth Of A Playboy B/W Love For My Girl - Lee John 619. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  14. So we hyped it enough then Pete....lol only joking mate, so it went for the asking price then? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  15. Bugger i forgot about that box under the bed...lol seriously as we all know that can happen with any record but as time goes by it's less likely to happen on titles like this??? And theres only six copies left in my 25 count box...lol oh and this is a joke by the way..happy to have just the one! Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  16. Thanks for that information, so with the ones listed on popsike/Ebay and private sellers we are talking maybe 6 or 7 copies in 4 - 6 years which brings into perspective just how few and far between records like this actually come up for sale, it will be interesting to see if Pete's copy sells and what John's one reaches at auction? i agree with your Cashmeres comment but as John stated demand does often play a major part in the price. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  17. We will all be watching your auction then John when this one comes up for sale, as you say a tough 45 to find. I predict £1047.00 as the finishing price lol we should have a sweep stake all through 50p in and the winner takes all...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  18. Spot on with this valuation but £25.00 seems to be the current selling price, fantastic record. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  19. Think you will find that they are both originals as i don't think this record has been booted, i'm sure others will confirm this. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  20. How many would you say have been listed for sale on Ebay? just curious, it never was a huge record but certainly could become indemand again second time around like so many records this one has yet to have it's day as a monster oldie, has everything going for it and rare it would seem...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  21. So is £1200.00 at set sale reasonable then John? opinion here would suggest that Pete's asking price is a fair one. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  22. Gene, you have a very good memory mate, i remember the night i picked the record up with several others at The 100 Club, Rob Marriot brought them down for me but i can't remember playing it that night or even if i was DJ'ing too excited.....lol I'm pretty sure JM will be able to put the rarity of this one into perspective...over to you John? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  23. Sounds about right, wonder where the other 690 copies went???lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  24. Yes mate i remember we had a fancy dress allnighter in Bury and we went as The Flinstones...happy days...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell. Ps, will post some of the playlist at this coming Saturdays house party afterwards if i can find my head that is, just to confirm although it's fun the music is still of paramount importance and believe me there is certainly going to be some records there.
  25. Does it for me everytime i play it, needs playing again me thinks...lol, i reckon it's a fair price Steve and no i'm not on commission here lol, when you consider how rarly this comes up for sale speaks volumes as there can't be many in circulation, seems Ted has Pete's old copy from way back, i bet it's not been on Ebay too often if at all, some of the bigger items i've let go over the years and there have been a few i have never considered this one for sale, such a good record. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
