  5. Cheers Jaco, I have the book but just wanted to check really, thought your valuation was about it's money myself prior to asking the question, really was unsure which was the hardest between the Issue and Demo but I don't think there is a lot in it value wise? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  6. Just need to check the current value of The Natural Four - I Thought You Were Mine - ABC Stock/Issue copy in super clean condition, any feedback would be most helpful. Contact by PM or email bicknellmark@aol.com or post view here. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  7. I'm with Dave on this one but there have been so many pretty close seconds, Maxine Brown - Tortuure, Charmaines, Lorraine Chandler etc. et. the list is endless, about time Mr Croasdell did the 'best of' CD I think. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  8. No. Regards - Mark Bicknell
  9. Hi Callum, I did the very same trip last June been many times before to the States but Florida is a bit lean as you say, just enjoy the holiday pal, Dave Moore who comes on here lives there so he would I'm sure give you some pointers and possible shops to visit...good luck Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  10. Well said sir, so we should conclude that the likes of 'The Attic' - Mansfield, 'Different Kettle Of Fish' - Peterborough, 'Silks' - Wellingborough, 'DDA' - Lowton, 'The Orwell' - Wigan, 'Lifeline' etc. etc. and several other venues who cater for and encourage a broader music policy to keep doing what they are doing because there is an audience out there for such venues. We have to have outlets for the obscure and different records to be played what ever the tempo, keeps it intersting I think. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  11. Still available, more titles to follow with some bargain priced stuff. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  12. Can help you with this one have nice condition demo PM me with an offer. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

  14. Thanks chaps, looks like I did well when I sold the first copy, thought it was worth a little more, thanks again. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  15. Just turned up a beautiful record King Ernest - I Feel Alright B/W Hold It Baby - Barry DJ White Demo 1005 - Not listed in JM's book and I know it to be a rare record as I sold a copy a few years ago for a decent price, just wondering if anyone has any idea of the current value, for sure this record needs playing at the gigs, never really did anything with the copy I sold, may consider selling this one? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  16. As ever Steve well put, take no notice of me it's Monday after all....lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  17. Ged, that was exactly my point as for who or which Paul it was would not take a lot of working out from the pre event flyer advertising etc. I was in no way stirring things up I just feel that if you are going to comment on something at least get the facts straight and correct otherwise whats the point? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  18. As the comment was aimed at Paul yes Ged I think it's correct to at least get the guy's name right as he has the right to reply if he so chooses or do you not agree? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  19. No Joan I don't think it does any good at all, to be honest I'm getting to the stage where I can't really be bothered with it all anymore, love the music, the collecting side of things always have and always will, love to DJ now and again but this constant un-rest and general negative bad vibe is killing it for me and I'm sure a few others? and I don't think this is just happening here on SS I think it's a little deeper than that and a little more widespread. Of course people have the right (freedom of speach and all that) to pass comment and have an opinion but it seems to get a little out of hand sometimes, personal direct attacks perhaps should be kept off the site and the main forum and be conducted in private between the people with the problem or gripe. I guess it's very hard sometimes not to say something or reply to something or a comment, view, opinion when passions run as deep as they do on the soul scene. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  20. Sent you an email. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  21. Hi Rick, Just for the record the second DJ who I followed was infact 'Paul Metcalf' who produces 'On The Scene' magazine and not Paul McDonald? just thought I would correct this mistake for you, Paul does have access to 'Soul Source' so I'm sure he will respond to your comments if he sees it and wishes to. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  22. Sent you a PM. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
