For me personally the music comes first above the scene as such, for a few years now I have done less and less DJ'ing and gigs for one reason or another, basically now I go out when I'm kindly invited to DJ but it is no longer a weekly thing for me, other stuff to do as my boy is coming on as a Goalkeeper so that takes up a great deal of time and money I might add....lol I still have a passion for the records, music and collecting but I do that on my own terms and do it for me rather than the DJ thing if the two meet in the middle then fantastic but if not that's cool. The scene has changed so much in recent years, too many events, too many DJ's etc. etc. the music is king nothing else. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

As 'Kev Thomas' stated in his first thread here 'Rob' will be giving his side of the situation in the next couple of days as he has a 'right to reply' to this, so perhaps it best that we let 'Rob' speak and from that let's hope that there is a resolution and an end to this very sad sorry state of affairs, IMO it's just another negative situation that's dragging the scene down and is really something I feel that we can all do without. Wow I can honestly say that I have never seen so many people looking at one thread on here like they are on this one, over 50 members as we speak, imagine how much more we could all share and learn about the really important stuff like the music, it's history, records, artists etc. etc. for example????? No disrespect to the people involved or mentioned here but is this not getting a little out of control now? I find Rob Thomas a very decent chap and consider him a mate as I do James but this really seems to have no ending this one, I wish you could just work out this problem and soon. Just got off the phone with Carl Lewis at 'Starpoint Radio' and all is looking good for myself getting a regular weekly show on the station, please note that this coming Sunday's show October 14th I am simply covering one of Mr Kevin Roberts shows and will not be my regular slot, the regular time slot for the show is TBC as soon as possible so stick with me on that one please, I was unaware who's show I was covering when originally asked and I'm sorry for any missunderstanding or confusion regarding this, we will keep you posted via Soul Source and via the forum on www.starpointradio.com of all developments regarding this, sorry to all concerned if I was unclear on all the details in my original posting here.
