The first show is now in the can and will broadcast on the station in July, it's fantastic to be presenting quality tuneage once again on the radio, nice to be making a contribution, please feel free to check out the stations website, the station is a class act and it's a joy to be involved. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  5. Hi Dean, as far as I'm aware the show is a generic one and is posted on the Soul Guy Radio website and you can listen to the various shows as and when you like rather than at a set time, my first show will be on the site from July 1st then on a monthly basis until further notice, will still be packed to the rafters with quality tuneage, more details to follow shortly. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  6. Can't send you a PM so can you drop me an email bicknellmark@aol.com, record packed and ready to send. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  7. I've been invited to present 'The Soul Shack' radio show by Rob Jones of soul guy radio, the first show should be ready and broadcast in July as ever plenty of quality tuneage will be on the menu, further information and details to follow soon. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

  9. Boot's what a lot of old cobblers...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  10. You have all missed one of the killer versions Alpha Zoe - Hit 70. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  11. I asked the same question on here recently on my Condition, Condition, Condition thread, in my book condition is king I can not see the point in buying a poor condition, poor sounding record no matter how rare it is, what's the point in buying a record that you can not play it's pointless, the condtion goalpost is often moved on the big ticket items yet it should be the same condition rules for all records, someone mentioned the cracked copy of 'The Twans' recently on Ebay ok to buy it but you try selling it on as a cracked record to a dealer and they would decline or laugh at you, mint Twans priceless a cracked one worthless or that's how it should be. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  12. Bugger me how the devil are you mate, that was long long ago when were still all in short trousers lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  13. What does that mean exactly lol? Mark Bicknell
  14. That's a little over 12p per track, wonder if Tesco's can beat that for value lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  15. Now there's a thought 'Northern Soul Mega Mix' lol on a serious note I can't see how this CD really makes any difference what the hardcore people do, makes no difference to me whatsoever. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  16. Just seen the advert, it will sell in bucket loads which is the whole point of putting it out to the masses. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  17. Tuff question this but if I'm pushed it has to be Jimmy Gilford - Heartbreaker - Solid Hitbound, a slowie but what emotion. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  18. Cheers for that, so it's from Holland, possibly a Dutch bootleg? still an interesting item I think, any ideas on value? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  19. You mean you have found copies of the Ray And Dave on Grant or other Grant records? thanks for the information, just wanted to find out where it came from. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  20. Thanks knew there was a connection there somewhere. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  21. I think you have but who knows lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  22. The address and credits on the Mica release suggest it's a Chicago record, produced by Bob Lee, infact I'm pretty sure he had something to do with the label (owner?) if my memory serves me correctly, certaily there is a Bob Lee/Jerhart/Mica connection via Jimmy Robbins etc. Mica Records Inc, 1823 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong was written by R.Caldwell, Jimmy Dobbins of Crash records fame out of Chicago and Bob Lee. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  23. Very possible but I bet Ray And Dave had no knowledge their record came out in Holland lol or that it became a popular tune in soul clubs around the world, like I said weird this record collecting lark. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  24. Thanks Monster both you and Pete have now confirmed it's Dutch but still a mystery using the Grant design, incredible what came out in Europe. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
