  1. I had an inkling it might have some rarity value as I could never find any info about it. Many thanks for the reply.
  2. My scanner's not the best in the world but I'll share these while there's no other demos of them already on the thread....
  3. The same instrumental as the flip side to The Capitols Cool Jerk. Is it a rare release? Just interested like
  4. Correct. Vinyl original is pretty thick and heavy too and the cat no's are different... Vinyl is "Sun 1117" / Styrene is "SI 1117".
  5. I don't blame the seller where the item is insured, as they can't declare $10 when the items insured for, say, $200 otherwise they the insurance won't pay up if the item does genuinely go missing or get broke. It's the archaic customs regulations in this country that's to blame. After all, based on the true reasons why customs is there, every declared value of a 60's soul single should be no more than 50cents I do get a bit narked tho when a seller declares an un-insured item at anything over the $15 that the USPS offer as compensation
  6. £18 (about $28-$30) is the limit before they stop it for VAT. There is a higher figure aswell where they then charge Import Duty but I don't know what that is or what it applies to. I'd cut your losses mate, VAT on $200 should really be about £25, so £12.84 is a bargain. All carriers charge a £8 handling charge if it gets stung for customs.
  7. Hi John, Thanks for thinking of me mate. But, as I'm also receiving a few PM's offering me one, I'd better post up that I'm not actually looking to buy. I have one and was just wondering what the current going rate is as I've been asked to sell. Sorry if there was any confusion.
  8. Thanks for the replies. There are a couple of threads from a few years ago which go anything from £60 up to £400. At least I got a bit of a smaller range to go off. There's one just gone on Ebay earlier (which didn't show up on my searching this afternoon ) for around the £120 mark.
  9. Hi Folks, What's the going rate for an original Mint- "Carol Anderson - Sad Girl / I'll Get Off At The Next Stop - Fee"? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  10. Not sure whether this applies to all accounts or not..... If you look down the list of transactions, it appears to state "Payment For" when the transaction was a gift and "Payment To" when not. Also if you click on the "Details", the transaction details don't contain your address when sent as gift, but it does when sent otherwise.

  13. It is a minefield. In the case of the Mel Britt and some of the scarcer 73-78 copies that Pete refers to, what would be wrong with stating it as a "Rare 70's Pressing" ?
