Just finished reading it ,tonght,and i must say,what a read.nice pics and well put together.

So...where was Sterlings shack then,with mini bar and dance floor ?

Nice one Barry,for posting the floor plan of the WC.I have probally drawn out the plan ,in my mind, a dozen times,but never realy recited it.As to your plan has a fair bit of detail,im sure their are a few people on here will say to themselves " oh yeah,i remember now ",as i did i.Your plan is how i remember it,but i thought the stairs to Ms balcony was actually inside Ms near the djs box,but as shown in a photograph, in a later post,that is not the case. I only pondered on the fact due to an embrassing incdent, me missing the last half dozen steps ( and the stairs were not that wide) and landing on to some bloke,who was asleep,and then having to hide the rest of the time,as he was gonna rip my head off.it was about 79ish,it was an oldies niter and it would be around the summer months of the year,so if any of you out there remember it,.....well.... im bigger now.ha ha. Thanks for the post on the sketch Barry.

My 1st of 2, Wigan anniversary nighters that i attended .(79 n 80 ).....and still have the badges.

See thread " Revellers ,,Yafforth",most of the names on there will have watched your Dad,"back in the day" KTF...

Your Dad was..by far the best dancer,you could say a legend ( only my opinion) ,( dance/tricks and especially stomping ),we all tried to copy the way he effortlessly moved around the floor ,to whatever northern record,and only the best could do that.Thats what i mean by Instrumental.

Dave O"Brian(obby),Dave Robertson (doc),Steve Bird (spuggie),Mark Derbyshire ( dabsey),Jono Graham,Julie Graham ( nee Dickens),Neil Brown,Karen Brown (nee Ward),Andy Jackson( me),Mike Carey,Dave Wilbor....all attended the Revellers on a sunday night.most went to Wigan Casino ,and i still see alot of these people around the scene today.

Forgot to mention,your dad was very instrumental in a lot of the moves we copied back then.He was great to watch.

Ah yes ,Sunday nights at the Revellers,what memories.It had a good wooden floor which didnt need any talc,Your uncle Steve and myself use to practice the moves/dance patterns/stomping on that floor(.Alas ,stomping and tricks are out of my comfort zone now).To us,Revellers was the spring board to Wigan Casino,you didnt want to look a right div on that floor ( WC).Revellers was very popular in the late 70s
