Just having a browse on ebay and came across this 45, quite nice modern tune but somehow I don't think it ever got any air play in the UK, not with title like this...lol, I think the singer means dancing rather than the meaning it has over here..

Ha ha sounds like my house, both my kids and there mates and my granddaughter who,s nearly three, know never to touch my records,
Even when we go out I have to warn them, although it is a standing joke, and they usually mention it before me..lol

A part of me ...the wicked part ,feels a strong compulsion to message him with a ridiculous question ,just to annoy him lol
I sooooo wanted to do that, slightly off topic, my dad listed a table and chairs on ebay, I spent a week messaging him with stupid questions, is the table suitable for eating on?, how many legs does it have?, will you deliver to Tibet, how many people can fit on a chair......well I thought it was funny....he didn't

how did this all go for everyone this year ?
on here was a bit of a low key thing
only a few passing on info (thanks though!)
how was it for you all out there in the real world
be it punters, shop type people, label involved types....?
a good one ?
Me and my son made a day of it in Manchester , although we did spend nearly 2 hours queuing up outside Piccadilly records for Gil Scott heron - nothing new, oasis 12" for my son, and an ep by a mod group called the stripes ,over to beatin rhythm then and got Gregory porter- revisited ,
Wanted to get the Charles bradly 12" - no chance, I think daptone cocked up a bit with distribution also wanted the Paul weller release, that was on eBay an hour before it was officially released, so something dodgy going on with that one, think he may have commented about it on his website.
Anyway we went for 8 records and got 4 so not bad I suppose . Phil

Interesting article, but going to show some nievity here, Darrel Sheinman with his vinyl cutting lathe, is that for cutting acetates or just cutting records ?

This was a film that won a prize for Matt Stokes, the director. However, I don't think I've ever seen it.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a copy via a link ?
Thanks
It won The Becks award for Art so maybe a quick search for past winners might bring it up, if you struggle to find it Ive got it on an old laptop together with some out takes I could try and email to you...phil

Starting at midday today the Soul Source site will be starting the long overdue move to facebook
The new page will be called
Soul Source - A KTF Way of Life Forever Group
It will mostly feature myself posting daily northern anthems (on a 3 day rotation ) while all members can now 'like' and post 'ktf' message of support
But also keeping in with such traditional facebook pursuits we will also be having regular repeated chat sessions, where you can ask repeatedly why the film ain't released yet, catch up with the latest Celebrity Old School Dj gossip, rubbish other websites and get really angry about keyboard warriors, and much much more....
latest news and new links at 12
ktf
mike soulboy hughes
a way of life
Mike, is the whole site moving to FB or will there still be a soul source web site... Phil
