  1. got the billy stewart from a carboot sale in warrington sunday morning and have the georgie fame on an LP, so been listening to 'em both this morning, for me GF edges it, better production and great flute interludes, didn't realise how many times its been covered, SLIM SMITH, GQ (terrible version),BOBBY McCLURE, BOBBY THURSTON, and many many more, suppose it just shows what a great record it is

  16. your not the only one, 12 months ago ebay sent me survey on how to improve the search experience and asked me to try the beta service out, i hated it and told them so.... it might be worth ringing customer services to see if you can opt out of it

  19. as a tanker driver who only works nights and when most of the soul world are dasncing on a friday night, ML gods juke box on a fri/sat midnight-3 am keeps me going, i plan me night around it so i can listen in,even had a few requests over the years, its just criminal that as license fee payer i cant listen to the music i want to for just a few hours a week cos some suit in his ivory tower decides to cost cut, and yet they give us that pr**k alan carr who's proberbly on more money cos he's "funny"...i'm fookin fuming....phil

  23. too late-williams and watson, ALWAYS reminds me of a girl from leigh, lancs "mad" janice thorpe, we used to go mad and sing it as a duet,obviously, all the time, remember stomping to it on a table in M's, both of us screaming it at each other,OFF our fookin faces , it was also the the tune that janice taught me how to dance to in the afternoons in me mums front room, that girl has a lot to answer for , thanks janice,wherever you are now,
