  11. i,ve bought 4 x 45's this week from u.s , postage ranging from $6.49- $18, i think they pluck an amount from the sky sometimes, or is it different from state to state?
  12. keele was great for me, having been in the army from 82-91, my last few years in the forces was based in UK, cambridge , and keele always seemed to be on when i had a weekend off, went a few times in '88 and '89, then on and off thru the 90's, tunes i remember from them earlier days are sam dees-lonely for you baby, sammy ambrose-welcome to dreamsville, heard bobby bland-yum yum tree for the first time at keele, the record bar was the business, got a few in there, bobby sheen, for below zero, charades, ac reed, took them back to camp and some twat from blackpool broke into my locker nicked the lot, couldn't prove it but i knew it was him...needless to say he could only slurp soup for a few days

  21. cos i only work nights i always put a bid in (within reason) so that i,m winning before i go to work, gives me something to look forward to (apart from a warm bed ) when i get home, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. these are the last five that didn't.. zz & company-get ready for the getdown-COLUMBUS- bid 66 went for 68 joe bataan-subway joe LP-FANIA- bid $78.78, went for $81 the chimes-beginning of my life-DOWN TO EARTH, bid £14.14, went for £14.64 4 x bobby bland 45's-DUKE, bid £5.01, went for £5.51 joe bataan-uptown-FANIA, bid $31.32, went for $ 32.32
  22. only saw him 3 times, twice at leigh casino(ruebens) and another time at an allniter at Parr Hall in warrington, early 80's, at the warrington gig i managed to have a chat with him for about 3 minutes and in that 3 minutes or so i got the impression that here was a man who loved his craft and didn't take his audience for granted even if a lot of the fans did, sadly missed...if i had to choose a track..."running back and forth" edwin starr - running back and forth -
  23. in my daughters college its a fashion item, loads of northern soul / wigan casino / keep the faith bags and t-shirts but like you say most of them dont no what it is , my dughter does cos she's been brought up on soul music and knows what its all about and wont have one cos she knows i'll take the p**s,.
