Hi Mate, yep it sure is the sound of the Roots Room as it is all different sounds with no baggage, the Roots Room is based on the Mod scene where people have the freedom to express themselves so long as it's 6t's, be it RnB, Soul, Jazz, Ska, Beat, Latin, Funk, or whatever you fancy, just keep it 6t's and keep the Mod ethos, will look to put up my Saturday playlist at a later date atb dekka

Hi Brian It was really encouraging to see so many people enjoying what the room had to offer, lots of people migrating through all the rooms but from my point of view to see people stop in the Roots room buy a drink and enjoy and dance to the music made everything worthwhile. Lee Miller commented that he hardly knew anyone in the room which proves it wasn't just hard core RnB/Mod types that were there. My thoughts were that at least it educates people in a good way and hopefully will encourage them to return to where ever the Roots Room is next situated be it at Headingley or Harrogate. Although the Roots Room has a main RnB/Mod, 6t's Soul theme this in no way limits the variety of music to which can be played, as the playlists testify. The next Roots Room at Harrogate May 30th will be an RnB extravaganza with what is dubbed as a North east showcase organised entirely by Steve Hiscock, which obviously includes yourself, Steve, Hoss, Dikka, Deka, and myself dekka, bit of a tongue twister LOL. Once again many thanks to all the DJ's at Headingley and just so everyone knows WE WILL BE INVITED BACK (dates to be arranged) atb dekka
