  1. What would Rob have been playing off then Gareth? He packed in 15 years ago, wouldnt this have been before the japanese cd? I though that was when it first came to light. Only really heard andy dyson play this out a lot, what does he play it from - chalky? Also dont think the fact that its not had a legit release should stop it being played out,
  2. So was it just the straight constellation design that was booted John?
  3. The Herbs - Put a Hurtin On My Heart/There Must Be An Answer SMOKE w/d mint unplayed great double sider - £20 paypal or cheque, £1.50 recorded £2 Europe
  4. Ok Jayne its a date
  5. Good post Jayne. While I dont want the music to be too low, lots of venues from small soul nights to the big all nighters just have the volume way too loud. Like you say very often the level is perfect and then a dj comes on and cranks it up distorting everything. Often when i've been out its pointless trying to talk to me the next day cos I cant hear a thing. To those who mention dancing in front of the speakers -tinitus is not pleasant trust me. Also I see peope talking to each other in venues and think how the F*ck can they hear anything? I normally just nod my head and smile - after asking someone to repeat themselves 3 or 4 times I give up. Steve, ears f*cked after 20 years in the pit and too many nights out

  16. The point of the thread is that if these records (or similar) are played at a venue, are you happy to listen to them or do you feel like going home. Personally I'm in the latter camp, not because of the my opinion of the records in question ( if people like them thats fine with me ) but because of the fact that they have been continually rammed down your throat over a long period of time at certain venues. I just cant stand listening to the same records over and over when there are 1000's that never get aired, and as someone pointed out on the J20 thread a large % of people just wont even give stuff they dont know a try. I've seen a group of people who you know walk out of a venue twice this year after 1) 30 minutes of walking in and 2) after 20 minutes of a dj starting his spot. Anyway thats just my opinion and spouting it on here wont change anything, each to their own and never the twain shall meet. Unfortunately Off to dip my nether regions in some dark liquid
  17. Months...? the irony The point is there are records I havent heard played out for YEARS and others I've NEVER heard played out!!!!
  18. Top post Adam - the above highlighted is an unanswerable question which frustratingly I fear we will never know the answer to. Sympathise with the promoters
  19. You must be Joan If you live round here, these two records are so typical of the element of the scene who just want to go out and hear/dance to the same familiar tunes that they heard last week, month , year........ad infinitum Another in the same bracket is Home Is Where The Heart Is, plus alot more that I cant be bothered to list. Personally I'd rather boil my bollocks in treacle than listen to this kind of stuff
