  10. John I think you could kill the speculaton stone dead quite easily by saying which copy is coming up for auction. If you dont want to as seems obvious - when is the auction going to start? At least we'll know then from the description.
  11. £30 for the pair - anyone?
  12. Saw one go for £74 on ebay recently
  13. i think JM could kill a lot of the speculation without betraying any confidence by simply stating if this is one of the 2 "known" copies or not. John? After all it will be apparent when the auction starts cos it'll be obvious if its TB's or KB's copy by the description

  18. Look closely ken it says WHEN......
  19. And your reasoning behind this is?? Like I said initially, when most collectors (who are now probably the wrong side of 50) are dead, where is the demand going to come from. Where will new collectors come from at the same rate as the ones dying??
  20. Cheers pal, I want that Herbs record back
  21. just talking to myself as usual Ken Dont worry I'm used to it Seriously I havent read anything to convince me that there will be a comparable demand for soul records in say 30 years time. It reminds me of all the times I've heard people say "put your money into bricks & mortar, the value never comes down" ...... Yeah right When I've kicked the bucket, my kids will be increasing the size of their inheritance by selling my records to China or Eastern Europe? sorry...........
  22. Only one bought so far on the back of hearing it on a cd - Malcolm Dodds - Come See The Sun Loads more wants but it takes a lot of time to get through that many cd's and absorb it all - lots to look forward to still. Thanks everyone
  23. At some stage in the future they'll all be totally worthless. Supply and demand gets quoted alot and in 30 years time when most of us are dead - guess what? there wont be any demand. The number of new collectors will in no way keep pace with us lot throwing off our mortal coils. If I was relying on mine as any kind of investment I'd be getting rid sharpish
