  7. That takes some beating, when was that Sean, recently? If so gives us all hope
  8. The main thing for me here seems to be missing in most arguments. Check out post 11, theres a clip of the record being played in the Crazy Horse at the Butlins weekender in Feb. I was there at the time to witness this (unfortunately) Now this is an oldies only crowd, many resplendent in their bags, with a beer towel tucked away in their badge covered holdall. This record comes on and the floor is heaving Why? Its not a Wigan stomper! Is it because some "DJ's" ( I use the term loosely ) have decided its worthy of plays and when it comes on and everyone dives to the floor, people think "this is popular - I'd better dance" ??? I know one thing, if Butch had've come on next and played some quality proper tunes the whole crowd would have walked off and stood there with their arms folded!
  9. Thats completely missing the point of that particular argument I reckon The point is not to "progress" to a different type of music but to play records that are basically the same as and as good as the "top 500"

  12. Great record and a truly forgotten oldie IMO Memories of the latter casino years for me, not sure if it was played any earlier? The b-side ( I Can Give You Love) is absolutely brilliant as well Message to DJs - get this on the decks!!

  15. Larry Chubby Reynolds - Sweet Tooth
  16. Without wanting to contribute to the "shit storm" I'd just like to know how many records he actually sells at those prices and who buys them. A mate bought a record a few years ago from a well know DJ for £80 and this guy had it on the site for £400

    Mel Britt R.I.P

RIP Mel, one of THE records....... thanks
  18. You bringing it Saturday Ted ?
  19. The world's full of idiots
  20. Fancy having to dance with a woman hanging on to ya? Yuk, stop cramping my style duck
  21. Theres no reason to a lot of his prices - Persionettes OOTP pressing £30 You can get one on ebay for £3 easily
  22. The top and bottom of this is that too many "DJ"s are scared stiff of clearing the floor even for one or two records. After all its a cardinal sin to do so and if the floor's not packed from the first record till the last its a crap night
  23. The original has a stamped in H directly opposite the matrix, no H means bootleg. Very alike other than that. John Manships price guide 5th edition would be very useful to you (dont buy the new one it hasn't got the bootleg/original info in it)
  24. The bootleg sure is a nice looking one
  25. Is this a 70s recording? Always had in in my head as 60s but just listened to it and not so sure. Not that it matters, just never had it pigeon holed that way in my mental filing system
