  8. Any Volumes record as they all seem to have 2 great sides Carol Anderson - Taking My Mind Off Love / I'm Not Worried Magnetics - Count The Days / When I'm With My Baby
  9. Hi Mark I can remember years ago people using Letraset and it looked cool but its dead time consuming. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just letters in black. I have tried a couple of printers that I have used over the years and the top loaders are the ones that manage to load the card ok. It's just the thickness of the card they struggle with. Mark
  10. When I am sorting which 200 records to put in the box for a guest spot Liz always comes out with her bit of helpful advice " Why can't you just turn up with a 25 count box like Butch did at Willington" I've tried to explain that the chances of someone playing the same tunes as Butch has in his 25 count box are fairly slim but she always comes out with the same line !! Mark
  11. Anyone able to recommend a printer that will print on white card record covers. I have a printer that does it but with quite a high failure rate. I have used labels but would prefer to print directly onto the covers. Any help welcome. Thanks Mark
  12. Manships has it as £100 but you never seem to see it. Is the stock copy rarer than the demo?
  13. Don't see where you get the shit post bit from. I thought Dean was being realistic WITHOUT slagging anyone off. Mark
  14. Hi Nev As has been mentioned on here before Bob likes to put an unrealistic reserve on all of his items and then after the auction has ended he emails ALL bidders trying to get someone to take the item at a price close to his reserve. Have had many conversations with him but he can't grasp the fact that he is asking higher than Manship book price for records that very often are only in VG or VG+ condition. Get on the bidding list and he will email you but don't expect to get it anywhere near as low as the £1800 John got for his mint copy. Mark
  15. Both sides are fantastic and it's hard to choose which is the best one. As stated there are bootlegs about and lots of people happy to play them out which gives a false picture of how many original copies there are.
  16. I have posted a want up before without any success but I think the aim of me posting would be looking for one of 2 things: 1. If it's a fairly common record to get severall offers and take the best one. Still need to say already sorted to the other offerers. 2. If it's a rarer item to get any offer and if it's reasonable to take it. But Pete's original point was that people are posting, asking for PM's and then not bothering to reply to the PM's. AND THERES NO EXCUSE FOR THAT !! It takes less than 2 minutes just to type a brief comment such as "already sorted, thanks" or "more than I want to pay, thanks" or something similar so theres no excuse at all for no response. IMHO Mark
  17. Have PM'd you Mark
  18. I thought it went to Gary Field, not sure where it went after Gary.
  19. Me and Ian found a load of stuff in the basement of a doo-wop collectors house just outside Chicago in 2001. The guy and his wife had bought all the stock when a record store had closed down in the town around 20 years earlier. Tangeers, Clarence Hill (2 stock copies), Ruby Andrews, Rockmasters etc and then in the middle was a copy of The Epsilons. Had us puzzled at the time how a small town store near Chicago was stocking Shrine records. Mark
  20. Whats the value now on Cookie Jackson on Progress? And do you have any scans of the gals you have to offer??
  21. Bloody hell, its getting like John's price drop auction !! Could be a new site feature, good for the buyers but rubbish for the sellers !!
  22. Had to email Lew Stanley about something else so I asked him about the box of Norwood Long. Below is the reply that his wife Marsha sent me. Lew said in 1996 he bought a 30 count box in Phillidelpha. He has not had a copy in 5 years, but would love to buy some if you know of any. Thank you for the information.
  23. I also think that just because you see a record on his list 3 times in a row, it doesn't mean he had 3 copies. It just means that no-one has offered up to his minimum amount on the record. Mark
  24. Frank had a Liza Mae in his box at Roll Royce alldayer Jas. Stevie Brown was after it but Frank told him he had £150 on it I think Frank still has it !! See you Saturday Mark
  25. Bobby Sheen - Something New To Do - Warner Bros Stock Mint- £75 Lovely copy of this popular floorfiller. pm or email mormar44@btopenworld.com
