For lighter clicks and scratches I have in the past replace my stylus with an old one put the record on the decks and played it till I got to the scratch and reversed the turntable over it . I did this quite a few times , it did work but needless to say you need a deck that has reverse on it , like my Numark T-100.

Sugar , just sold a New Yorkers last week , couldn't seem to sell it for love nor money . Can't explain that one . Brilliant sound , and now it's gone I want it back

Bang on Russ . Although I was in the minority by not taking drugs I had to accept it was one of two things that kept the whole 60/70's soul scene afloat and allowed the youth to have an outlet from a very mundane , sad life . It does go on about drugs but hayho that was how it was , no two ways about it . As for other comments about the book , well, I for one found it absorbing , it took me back to a place I never thought I could go to again . , todays oldies scene just is so far from the mark . The book did it for me . I may be a little biased towards the book as I know quite a few of the people who have quoted in the book . I can absolutely and totally agree with them as to there life style and adventures , no bullshit there Tim and Shelley . The film , well I for one cannot wait ofr it's release . It has to be better than the last dose of bollox that was thrust at us . Tony

Kimbo , I really do feel your pain over the lose of your records . Records can be replaced , where as friendship cannot . Personally if someone who I could call a true friend had done anything other than be a friend to me , then it would wrench my heart out . I had a problem with a friend who I would have trusted with my life , he pinched quite a sizeable amount of money off me , in a moment of weakness or just pure greed , who knows . I still found it very hard to severe my contacts with him , I tried hard to forgive but in the end he went around bragging it and telling people I was a soft touch ( far from the truth to be sure ) . I do still cherish my close friends , but the one closest ,and to whom I would sell every record I own to help him is my old buddy . My dog Diesel .
