  1. Sorry if I stae the obvious, but if you right click 'em and say select properties, it tell you the file format. The one I wanted was the Fidels - Try a little harder - which is a real audio media file which I can't convert, and would be grateful of help changing this format to MP3. Pete-S pls ? Thanks Dave.
  2. Ian, thanks for the reply, I did search for another thread on the subject, but didn't manage to find it. I'd appreciate the pm if you don't mind, any more info would be welcome.
  3. I was gutted when I fixed my PC and reloaded windows '98, only to find that the KTF website has 'gone'. I really enjoyed that site and it would be really handy to check out some of the tunes in the Djing thread with tunes under 20 quid. In fact I could spend all saturday souling as her in doors is off to the Bull Ring shopping ! I know about Soul Club, but are there any other similar sites peeps can point me to ? Thanks Dave P.S. I also spent ages loading Winamp and other plugins, so that I could change files from Real Audio to MP3 format to burn 'em onto discs for the car, grrrrr.
  4. Thanks for everybody's input. I've printed off the entire thread and have now bought a new pack of paper after the 23 pages it took. The response has been fantastic, and a bit overwhelming, but at least we have time to go through it and decide on what we think are the best.
  5. The Kev Roberts top 500 book describes Dena Barnes - If you ever walked out of my life - as as a tear jerking funeral sound, what do you reckon best to play at a wedding? My first thoughts are Roscoe Robinson - That's Enough, cos - I don't want glory or fame, I just want you to take my name, and more - can this be bettered ? Sorry, need good opinions and knowledge. Dave Gettin married July 2005
  6. I know they'll perhaps vary week to week, month to month, year decade, etc, but wots your current fav. Mine deffo - Johhny Caswell - You don't love me any more - sooo soulful, even right at the end he's giving it at the fade out. Heard it first 30 odd years ago, still love it. I'm a dinosaur, time to move on, not progressive, help me - (al wilson) ??
  7. Had a gr8 time but no soul. What there is out there is thousands upon thousands of scooters, the sad thing is I only saw 2 Lambretta's, both Li 125's. Plenty of old Vespa's and modern ones, but not the same.
  8. Going to Naples area - Sorrento this Thursday 5th. Does anyone know if there's any Northern Gigs around them parts ?
  9. @Mark Seen yer on that 'stange world of northern soul', nice face for radio as they say lol @Frank Thanks for the great info
  10. Grant, Live in the Midlands now, so can't get the Stockport/Mcr signals. Thanks for the info though mate. Also don't have broadband at home, so don't use the internet at home much. Do have sky so will check those out. I'd be interested to know if anything is broadcast in the midlands though. Is there still a spot on sunday afternoon on Jazz fm ? Cheers Dave.
  11. Thanks for the great info guys Dave
  12. Tone, have now sourced that on ebay $5.50 on Kama Sutra like you said. Cheers Dave.
  13. Can anyone post a link/info to find Northern shows on the radio ? Thanks Dave
  14. Title and Artist and label needed from a song I used to hear in the 70's, and can hear in my head now. 'I don't mind talking girl, we can talk on the phone we should be kissing baby, now that we're alone' Thanks in advance Dave
  15. Thanks Gene, it is 7 days too long. Don't like it that much really, must be one of the least played in my box.
  16. I've kept my old collection of mainly cheap pressings from the 70's to this date and have recently added to them. Amongst the old stuff, I thought, may be the odd original, so I bought the Manship guide to Bootlegs . . Northern Soul Top 500 . . to try and help me have an idea of values, etc. The Manship guide has supplied me plenty of disappointment to what I thought were, weren't. The one thing it doesn't help me on is the Kapp white demo, black writing - Rubin - You've been away. Can't for the life in me remember where I got it from. Also noticed on another thread that Chuck Wood on Bigt may be worth something, can anyone help me with some info please. New Member - first post Cheers Dave B.
