We're back with a new batch of Soul 45s up for grabs on eBay at the moment. These auctions end on Sunday November 6th. 

You'll find local label oddities such as Augusta GA's Benny the Loner, stone cold Northern Soul classic oldies like Jackie Lee's "Oh My Darlin'" and a repressing of Eddie Parker's "Love You Baby" and relative obscurities like E.G. Taylor's "You Made Me Mad". 

Additionally, we have some really cool San Antonio born Chicano Soul 45s from The Royal Jesters, Sunny & the Sunliners and the very rare Little Henry on Pa-Go-Go! Exciting stuff all around.

I think this is an important point. You can't really blame anyone in the U.S. for what you tax system and own country's political decisions have created for you. Don't worry. Once Trump becomes President, the value of the U.S. dollar will make you all feel better about yourselves. 

On topic, I'll say that my overseas orders started dropping when the USPS rates increased. I haven't noticed a further drop since the Brexit vote though. What I'm seeing more of, is international customers finding relatives, friends, etc inside the U.S. to accept shipment their records, and then they're either having them sent home in bulk or carrying them home personally at the end of a U.S. trip. This is something that maybe everyone doesn't have access to, but more of you should consider if you are able.

These 2 cuts don't sound at all to me like J.J.'s Kable/Rich Fred Brown/Joe hunter recordings.  These are much too new sounding.  The first sounds very much like a Don Davis Groovesville recording.  And the second sounds newer, more like an early '70s recording.  But how could a Groovesville cut have escaped being found among the Groovesville tapes that were "discovered' near the beginning of the 1980s, and summarily made available on cassette tapes for the NS market?  I'm sure you all remember those.

The second sounds like perhaps just before the Perception album?

Has anyone ever done a side by side comparison of Mono v. Stereo for the "Oh How It Hurts" LP? I've had a Mono promo for years, but recently acquired a sealed Stereo copy and I'm trying to figure out which to keep. If I keep the Stereo I'll break the seal but if I sell that one, I'd rather sell it sealed. Ideally I'd prefer to keep the copy that sounds better. Which one would fetch more money is not in the equation.

This one features Randolph Scott on vocals of The Scott Three, who recorded a monster crossover soul 45 produced by Tee Fletcher.
