  1. A similar observation is that I can't believe what some people call EX.

  3. It very clearly states "Not for sale" Good eyes, there, Pete
  4. Will you pay going rate plus a bottle of whisky, a bottle of gin, or a bottle of wine*? * This doesn't mean I'm selling my copy, just a question I thought to ask.
  5. Just Motown's take on the classic "cut in" record. Surely more deserving than a mention in this thread
  6. Tony Martin will have to find his way into this discussion for sure.
  7. I missed one at the end of May on ebay. There's another listed on Popsike from 2005. Small pressing for sure, but they're out there.
  8. Need a clean copy of this one, please. Soul Groove / My Heart Beats For You (American) $$ burning a hole in my Paypal account....
  9. Personally? One. But quite a few have gone on ebay over the years, probably more than any of the other titles.
  10. Yes, primarily a bluegrass/country label. Here are the records by black artists on the label MLT-2051 Arthur Willis & Soulful Dynamics - The Hurting Is Over / Gotta Find A Way MLT-2053 Alton Reid & The Voodoo Children - Funky Hogg / A Boy Needs A Girl To Love Him MLT-2066 Chain of Fools - Searching For A Brand New Love / It Takes Two MLT-2090 Ricky Andrews & the Chances Are Band - Chances Are Your Dance Is Mine / You Are What My Heart Needs I could use an upgrade of the Alton Reid if anyone can help out with that. My copy is pretty whipped. If Richard/Honky is playing Rickey Andrews, his copy *probably* came from his DJ partner Michael/Pomonkey, who got it from me. Not that it matters. I've personally known of about 5 copies of the Rickey Andrews. There's a sixth copy hanging on Rickey's living room wall, but it is broken, a big chunk taken out of it. The only other copies I've been aware of were sourced by Up!Pig! in that ridiculous distributor collection he got into a few years ago.
  11. Good. Now that this is out of the way, I'm not a prick, I'm an asshole. And I don't care what you think as long as you're not making baseless assumptions, which you were. My last bit of mudslinging on this subject is that with a name like ROD you must be the prick. Back to your regularly scheduled programming....
  12. Clueless? You can f*** off with that garbage. Don't make presumptions about me when you don't know me.
  13. A tad more info about the Arthur Willis here: /Collect...illis&st=45 There were rumors in 2006 that some quantity had been found but I don't know if that ever went beyond the status of pure rumor. And just for the record, I still think it's a shit record. But I'd be very happy to find two more copies myself.
  14. Interesting question then. Just how many made their way over to the UK, and how low will the market price sink on this one?
  15. Oh. THAT story again. Three too many to some, two too few for my own personal comfort.
  16. John Ridley chimes in: https://www.sirshambling.com/artists/A/arthur_freeman.htm
  17. It's Fame publishing. Always thought this was an Alabama thing. Art Scott production.
  18. Yeah, I'd be curious to hear the difference. That's five years and apparently about 19 horn players or so! A few copies of the LP on Popsike, but no copies of the 45 that I've seen. Must be a pretty scarce 45.
  19. HTML clipboard Child of Friendship Train Robbers - Hey I Got Your Kind of Love / Jackie (Natural 1516) NM $105 postage paid.
  20. Just got a reply back from the seller. Weird thing is that I never even mentioned styrene in my message to him.
  21. I would: a) Turn down the gig B) Request a 12" block of ice to rest your 45 box on c) Buy some linen clothes d) Keep the 45s out of direct sunlight at all costs e) Turn down the gig
  22. Probably 40 for Hannibal and 10 for Gene Chandler. Though it looks like I may be totally wrong on the Gene Chandler. Didn't realize this one was tough.
  23. Saw that Kaz was looking for this in 2005 (!) - thanks, Boba for spotting my post, by the way. I just picked up a copy of this blind today - haven't yet put a needle on it. Wondering what the deal is. All I know so far is that it's 1974 Philadelphia. Haven't seen any other references to it on Google. Any info about this one floating around on Soul Source? John Minns - I Want Your Love / (I Believe) It's Time For A Change (JM 7501)
