i bet you have been to loads of events where a boot/re issue has been played and not even spotted it!... Highly possible but im on about guys who advertise the fact they play them and dont care..not the unknown slip one in their DJ set but again I ask why??? would they how far would you go if you saw this henus crime being committed on your patch i wonder.. I've no idea why some people who collect OVO have such a downer on those who don't. IT WORKS BOTH WAYS ROD THIS THREAD IS ABOUT OVO'S BEING SNOBS NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND I think if you're gonna be critically harsh with those people maybe you should apply similar rules to the OVO mob. Such as don't play 45s I heard 20-30 years ago whilst pretending it's upfront or if your playlist doesn't include your own discoveries then don't bother at all. thats a good point to point out, perhaps a bit of the old jealousness is prevailing there, , perhaps they know they would not get booked at the ovo venue,and at .the end of the day lets face it everybody wants to be a DJ. but one point that nobody's said is the fact that when playing boots you definably doing the artists in question out of their royalties

There are literally hundreds of thousands of quality 45s on original vinyl under £50. If a DJ cannot put together an original and interesting set without resorting to boots then they are a f**king idiot and don't deserve to be calling themselves a DJ. They should feeling inferior because they bloody well are. I can't believe what i'm hearing that it's ok to play boots as long as they've got a good DJ personality. It's not Radio 1
