  1. Looks like Moonlight music and you is out there at the moment. Knew about the Frankie and the classicals link but not the others. What about Motown backing tracks? Which have been used most? Never heard the Herb & Doris. Label? I'm only picking brains here
  2. Yeah the flip Sweet soul baby is more what I'd describe as fitting into the 'norm' of a latin tune...used to play it years ago down The Alexandra in Clapham. Play mine of 4Points 7" though.
  3. One that's been accepted on both Northern and Latin dancefloors for years is David Coleman -Drown my heart in tears- Barry. favourite of mine is Hector Riviera I love you, I want you, I need you. This has been used as a backing to a northern track -heard butch or Ady play it down the 100club once. The Hector Riviera version is too slow for a dancefloor but it definately floats my boat. one of the few latin things I've kept over the years.
  4. How many times has the backing track been used? Would you know? I'm thinking of actual backing tracks rather than versions of songs otherwise we'd prob be talking about My Way. i used to think a lot of the Detroit backing tracks were the same and I know a lot are but only when I really started to listen I realized it was more the Detroit sound i.e. Solit Hit productions or the Thelma crew etc.....
  5. Hi Warren Ceck out The Paegents tune on Barrie Waddington's 45heaven site or on ebay. If you haven't got a copy sounds like some of the latin tinged stuff you sometimes slip in at Boogaloo. Cheers Kev
  6. Not sure if this thread has been followed but I'm intersted in which backing tracks have been used the most. Like Bari Track and Rose Battiste or Dime on D-9 and Bobby is my baby. I've a sneaky feeling it's propably a motown track but I wouldn't be able to say off the top of my head. What do you think?
  7. Have a M- spare copy of The Hesitations-Go Away/Milton Bennett-What's One More Lie to swop for Motown/related white demo's-any considered. if intersted please PM me.Thanks Kev Moore
  8. Definately a different flip tho' I can't recall the title.-Also check out a cheap album by him-The Soulful Sounds of Donnie Burdick-with a version of Amen-and CC Rider.-Very cheap album should pick one up for a fiver. All good stuff for the soul.
  9. You should pick one of these up for about £30-seen lots of them about-Pink Demos-not seen any Issues tho I'm sure they're out there.
  10. Made me laugh Paul Good luck with all things South Coast. Kev
  11. Also came out on cd-not sure if it was pulled for a 12" or 45. Great track-great album.
  12. [quote I was messing about with the track a while back and did some rough mixes without strings, i'll find them and load one or two up (then you can all have a good laugh!) Funny one that Sutty. Devoid of strings, horns and backing singers this sounds like I'm next door to a big club room and have lost my way. Keep on tryin'tho
  13. The more Jackie Wilson the better for me, dont matter where I hear it !! Absolutely STILL one of the finest moments in soul history.......................end of.
  14. Good one Mike Terry-Anything he was on! Kev
