All good records in their own right but IMO overplayed-overplayed overplayed.
Ruby Andrews-Top class.
As time goes on I've kept going back to the tunes i grew up with.....Touch me in the morning Diana Ross-Sweet Love-Commodores
-Best thing that ever happened to me-Gladys Knight-Wherever I lay my hat-Marvin Gaye-Hell up in Harlem-Edwin Starr... etc etc. Puts everything else into perspective too. Rare Soul NOT but hold special memories for me and puts the early 70's glam rock alternative to shame.

You Gonna play some Diana Ross @Boogaloo Paul?
Back in my Arms Again or Mother You Smother You are my faves at the Moment.
I recently bought a White promo of Gerri Granger "I Go To Pieces" and right away people were saying I should get the rarer Red stock copy. Having made a few enquires I've been told these probably don't exist and the stock copies are usual Bell silver/black writing.
Something tells me I've seen Red stock copies in the past but then again I sometimes dream about record labels.
Can anyone shed any light on this or maybe scan a copy up.
Cheers Kev
Any spare copies of the Mrs Miller album yet Ken? Surely that fits the bill!
Stompin in places..... found in a garage........ and not at all polished!

Remember talking to Sid Barnes for quite a while at The Dome after Backdoor Kenny told me he was Duke Browner????????
One of those nights eh!
A couple of weeks later he played at the 100Club with Hoagy Lands and I managed to sing some IHOTOS with him live tho'he sounded better than me.
We squared the name check but he didn't give me any info on Jerry Cook-I always thought it was Little Jerry Cook when he got a bit bigger!
Bisley had a good crack at it that night but a better sound system would have helped. (Got one sitting in my bedroom brand new 2000 watts good to go if interested.)
Went down there just for the 2room event. Could have worked on it as IMO there's a definate demand with the right dj's.
