  2. So did I. I was 15. I'd just come from Wigan police station coz i'd been jumping the train. Didn't get into The Casino til late and there was still a queue. Wigan Juvenile court. £25 fine. Kev
  3. Casino 3rd Anniversary-Patti Austin-Take Away The Pain Stain. Hot & sweaty. Kev
  4. Here's the reissue package.
  5. Only saying whats in the guide Pete. Not saying I agree. It does seem exessive! Kev
  6. Here's a couple of nice sides too. But the best for me is still their version of 'Dancing a Hole in The World.' Kev
  7. The promo has Promotional Copy Not For Sale on the label. Cheers Kev
  8. Far too many to pin down, but I know this-I've never lost a game of pool with 'I Can't Help Myself' playing on the jukebox. Kev
  9. Here's the mispelt Stateside Demo. 'OF your heart' rather than 'TO your heart'. JM books it at £500 but I don't know about that!
  10. tamla motown connoisseurs 1
  11. I sold one on here a few months ago £450 Promo tho'. Kev
  12. Also on a Timless Lp (Soul of Alabama) I think. Kev
  13. I stand corrected. (Another one I must have dreamt). Kev
  14. Dave I still say I'm sure I've seen it. I remember pulling out of a box down the 100club around 1986/7. Didn't think much about it at the time because it was doo wop. Wasn't it on the Pama album as well? Kev
  15. I was told by our kid, Dave Moore who used to be an avid British collector that the polydor demo's were the toughest as they only did a 500 run on them. I recall him saying the hardest british one to track down was Tony Middleton. Kev
  16. Here's the Edwin Starr. A bit battered but that's how I found it. Plays fine though. Found in a bookshop in Brighton many years ago for £6. Kev
  17. Sure I've seen it on Pama along with Clifford Curry Betty LaVette
  18. I have an Edwin Starr Polydor W/D but sadly no middle. I've seen a few of them though. The only Volumes I've ever seen on Pama was I Love You. Cheers Kev
  19. Shit, yet another LOVE TKO. Sad news. Kev
  20. The 3 at the top of my list would be. 1. JJ Barnes at The Casino (mid /late70's) This was the first time I heard a black man sing live and it was the absolute main reason I continued the soul journey. I swear I changed physically that night. 2. My second would be The Masqueraders at Prestatyn for shear Quality and Class. 3. Ray Pollard/Tony Middleton/Terry Callier/Sid Barnes/Hoagy Lands/Maxine Brown/Betty Lavette/Dean Parrish at 100club. Would have loved to have seen The O'Jays and Jackie Wilson. Kev
  21. Super record and rarely away from my turntable at home. Kev
  22. Grant I was always led to believe the Red issues were a little later. Though there's not much in it pricewise. Also blue demo copies are around with a star on them if I remember rightly. My 5 at the moment would be. I Think I Found a Love-J J Barnes-Ric-Tic (flip to Please let me in) Tighten Up Your Own Thing-Etta James-Checker Billy Stewart-I Do Love You-Chess Jackie Wilson-I'm The One To Do It-Brunswick Earl Harrison-Humphrey Stomp. Kev
  23. HDYMABH for me at no 1. Second comes Something. pure etheral vocaling. Bliss. To many to mention but I have the Living for you songsheet displayed promenantly in my house. Kev
  24. You blaggard you! Where's Toby with the Ric-Tic sleeve he promised me? Kev
