Also check out The Four Arts - 'Who Do You Think You Are' also on Shee records out of the Bronx NYC, a beautiful looking pink label and if Nicky Soul is worth upwards of a grand then the Four Arts must be up the too, superb street corner to soul male group harmonies of the highest order.

    There's one on Shifty's latest list - £400. Cheap?

  2. I think my fave of the mo is "The Hamnilton Movement - She's Gone" but as Daz said, it changes weekly.

This is a relatively new discovery of mine - i've only known it about 6 months and now i think it's fab!! But my oldie fave is probably "high keys - livin A Lie" - just awesome!

Has anybody got a yeller High Keys up for sale?? I Can offer good and valuable trades.

  3. Sebastian to the rescue once again! I like PMSL abb., I can see myself using it a lot!

I aggree with you baz, the Boola-boola release is better IM&YO, but the "Tought you were mine" is much easier to come accross and costs a hell of a lot less. In fact, I had four towards the end of last year, an issue and three demos. Have eBayed two demos but would like to keep both an issue and demo for myself.

  4. lol? what's this? And... yes I would rub it in!! Saw the nat four, bid on the nat four, lost the nat four! Good, init!!! Have you got "I thought you were mine" on ABC or an shit rare alternate cut release, boola boola? I've got it on ABC but I thing the other is a bit too slow (although it is a while since i heard it...).

  5. Ta Sebastian - at last I feel like one o' the gang!!

But, per usual, as soon as you learn sommat new, sommat else comes along 'n' pisses on your fire... What does IMESHO mean? SITC? You are all a set of very evil people.

    :-(

    Apart from you Sebastian. ;-)

Where's this thing in Barnsley anyway? I'm quite neer.

And another thing... seeing as this is a topic regarding the value of records, what's the current going rate for Big Don's Rebellion?

    IMAROLO - Ha! Decyfer this!

PS - Wasn't that Kev Draper's Ollie & The Nightingales "Would It Matter" cover-up from quite a few years ago?

Don't know, sorry. It'd be good if he would trade 'cos he's also got Falcons listed for £300 aswell and I think I'd rather have that one!

WHAT'S UP WITH THIS GUY?. NEEDS 3 POST'S TO SELL A RECORD.

PS- IT'S NOT ONE OF THE "RAREST NORTHERN SOUL RECORDS ON THE PLANET". INFACT IT'S NOT EVEN NORTHERN. HE MUST BE AMERICAN ME THINKS. WILL SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO HIM WHAT A "NORTHERN SOUL RECORD " IS.

Wrong wron wrong!!!!! All dribble!! It is northern - and a crackin piece of it at that and... I believe it's one of Mr. Manship himself's faves so :-P ...and $787.77!!?? (imagine outraged look on my face) The UA release made $850 last year but this... the first issue???? I'm outraged to find it made less than 1,000 QUID!! At one time there were only thought to be two or three of 'em this side of the woods!

  10. Hi RT109X, would you be interested in a trade for the Spider Turner 45? I listed some possible swaps below:

Joe Johnson - Do unto others - NM - Manship listed £300

    Sweethearts - No more tears - M - Manship listed £200

Della Reese - Clock that's got no hands - M - Rarer issue

    Jodi Mathis - Don't you care anymore - M

    Ex Saveyons - Running wild - E

Please let me know, my email address is l_l_m_w@hotmail.com

P.S. What sort of money do you want for the Charly Sheff Demo?

  11. £600 sounds cheap to me (well, cheap regarding circumstances), that's about the going rate for the other Matt Brown single and this is far, far rarer. In fact, if I hadn't already, I might be tempted...

  12. Ta Jon, site helped. Mine is a real 'un - the one I saw was yellow with light red/orange type as is 'Thank You Baby', or at least I think it was... I may be mistaken, it happens often. I can't believe what a bargain this was!! One of my top tunes of the mo and one I thought I'd never get my hands on is one I've just picked up for a snippet over £10. The dealer had it down as 'rare pop'. Ha... Pop?! So... How much is it worth?

  13. A seller - and a relentlous one at that!! - going by the name of Desx and as far as I know (and hope) only uses Musicstack.com. Earlier this year I put out a want for The Inspirations on Midas and withing 24 hours got a reply stating a $400 price tag (bargain I know, but funnily enough was my 'max price to pay'). The thing I find most strange is that this was his ONLY record, I know this as I asked him what else he had got, to which he replied "No, this only one I have got. Please send money to:

    Desx,

A flat worth about half as much as the record,

    Russia"

    - Strange, eh? Anyway, cleared everything via email and sent money week after only to find out it was a hoax. Luckily I managed to clear money order while stil pending.

The Russian strook twice more, but I was not to be so foolish again!! He replied to a want for the Patterson Twins on Commercial and The Hamilton Movement on Uplook.

Watch out for this one - his email is desx@bk.ru so please feel free to send as much hate mail as you like!!

  14. Oh and another thing, does anyone own a copy of Matt Brown - Everyday on Jar-Val? I've just ordered a copy but after seeing the pic from the guy I bought it off, the type and label design seems very different to the one copy I've seen before. And could anyone give me an idea of it's value? I was told about £3,000 and that there were only a few copies nockin' about, but thought this was a bit daft really.

    Let me know.
