  6. Flip better IMO - Would go down well with Paatrinell Staten

  9. Don't know about another version, but the other side was released as "Sweet sweet baby" by The Penetrations on Highland. These go for about £150, but it's not the same as you don't get "What do you think", which for me is the better side Billy

  11. Willie Tee - "Teasing you again" - Gatur Chico Lamarr - "What do you think I am" - Fuller Cash or trades available Billy
  12. Printed 1:48 on label. What about "No time" - John & The Wierdest?? Craig sent me an MP3 and it's only about 1:32 Brill sound though
  13. First of all; Betty Lou one of the most interesting voices on vinyl?? One of the worst bloody hell the woman can't sing a note! (brill record though) This has to be one of the best M&F duettes: Beverly & Duane - "You belong to me"/"Love" - Brown Bomber - Rare, Detroit, 2 good sides, nice looking label... Need I say more?? Billy

Billy
  16. Yes mine ends like that too. I can't imagine they're all like that though, just a pressing fault on the odd few me thinks, but I maybe wrong... I first heard it on Manship's 'Rarest of the Rare' and have loved it ever since, but was told it was very rare and would cost me £600, which thankfully it didn't as eBay was flooded the next week! Billy
  17. Wanted: Mary Holmes - "I need your lovin" I know it's neem out on about 3 labels. Would prefer a 'Del-Valiant' copy but the others will do aswell. My email is corrupt at the moment so all please contact me via PM unless you're not a Soul-Sourcer then emails to - l_l_m_w@hotmail.com - will have to do, but I can't say when I'll next be able to check my mail. Kind regards, Billy
  18. Dave, how'd this go down mate? Played it here and din't get a reaction other than "what's he playing now?!" Will have a dig round and find my plays from last night at Pond's Forge... Billy
  19. How about... High Keys - "Take a chance" - The finest B-side ever commited to vinyl Jimmy Thomas - "Above a whisper" - The second finest B-side ever commited to vinyl (and far superior to the other side ) Four Tops - "Ask the lonely" - The cheapest but by far the best version. Billlllllly
  20. Thought it was worth about £200 until saw it on your list a month or two ago Pete...proves what I know
  21. Only when read in a mirror
  22. woops last reply didnt seem to appear? Fair comment jock ............the scene has gone mad.......... however to try and justify-; I have loads of tunes that i dont particularly go a bundle on, but i do try and play to 'the floor' and judging by the amount of feedback here and dance floor reaction, should this have come for my bid I saw this as an opportunity to buy one for the floor. Perhaps a bit naieve of me to expect owning this at my bid though billy
  23. Sorry to disagree with everyone, but I think the side in question is far below average. The best bit apart from the fade is the sax break at the end, and that's only cos she shuts up! I know I've had a bid, so the above statements probably seem a bit hypocritcal, but I assure you I was bidding for a rare record, not a particularly good one. The flip seems Ok though - by far the superior side, and if I ever get one, I know which side I'll be playing! I wonder how many copies recordmanx is actually sitting on? Llook well if has a 50-box and floods the place, whatch the price drop then, cos IMO it ain't the song keeping the price up there! Billy
