  1. Dave Thorley had one on ebay a few days ago. Don't know if it's done now though If it's done try this strange north-eastern bloke ianjohnson63@blueyonder.co.uk 3 posts to go
  2. Mine's Mean Green, so I'm guessing Buss is rarer am I right? Still no joy getting a copy of Satin anyone got one for sale/trades? email: l_l_m_w@hotmail.co.uk oooh nearly got me 1000 posts badge - only 4 to go
  3. I'm not sure which I like best. I keep playing them 1 after the other but can't decide.... His voice certainly sounds better on the later cut, and the production is much clearer, but I think the 60s release is more earthy and soulful. Everyone I've played later one to (including Chalky) said they preffered the other one, so I suppose it must be the best! I'll post a scan of the acetate up when I can get my scanner to work. Give me 5 mins.... Billy P.S. If anyone should come accross a full length clip of the '01 release please don't post it up cos it'll be on a dubplate before ya know it I'll post a longer clip of it up but sorry, not full-length
  4. Don't know, mine's just really bassy and muffled. Quality of flip is fine though Steeplechase is just brilliant
  5. Yes. No.
  6. Soonish, but stop nagging or you won't get em I'll get my son to send them over tonight
  7. Read it about 5 months ago and have been in touch with Joe and his agent since then. Managed to get hold of a one-off acetate of a later cut of "My life"
  8. If anyone can find me and Andantes for even double that I'll buy it. Methinks that the rarest on the list Didn't know Reatha Reese was ever worth that kind of money
  9. Yes Trev's right, not a rare record (I've counted 12 over 8 weeks ). The guy selling them at $100 sold 5 over 2 (?) days, so it looks like he's got a boxful. Issues seem quite rare....mind you demo did until about 3 months ago
  10. Today either Nu-Rons or Jerry Washington. Both abso-bloody-lutely fantastic
  11. I'm also after Ella Woods. Would say £300-350 bout right, seen em go for less on ebay. Billy
  12. Never heard of it! Sounds like some kind of tribal dance
  13. That's cos there ain't one should play autotomically though Give me your email address and I'll do you some MP3s over the next couple of days
  14. ...............and on ebay at about $100 hmmmm wonder which he'll be going for
  15. Link to MP3s: /index.p...y&cmd=sc&cat=95
  16. There are soundfiles of EVERYTHING on your list in the sounds section. Click "Images/Sounds" at the top of the screen and you should find em I've got a Charles Brandy WD in Ex cond (picture to the left). Make me an offer email: l_l_m_w@hotmail.co.uk or PM me. Flip is brill too, best side IMO Billy
  17. There's an Ujima on ebay, I might have a copy of the Ultimates for you PM me with your best offer Mark
  18. Thought Royal Five made about £200? ...but yes I was reffering to Oxford Nights. I still rate it at about £650, and a friend of mine has just payed £600 and considered that rather cheap Tis a brill record though
  19. Oxford Nights certainly one of the better sounds of the past few years IMO I wasn't aware that the Royal Five had been booted, sorry. Demo's definately haven't
  20. Is the label shiney or matt? Counterfeits of all labels with similar colour scheme to the Counts (i.e. black & silver, red & silver) all have glossy labels, where 99% of the orig's have a matt label. That's supposedly how you tell the orig's of the Oxford Nights from the boots, from what I've heard the boots aren't that glossy anyway, and the orig's aren't totally matt (mine isn't anyway, and it's definately real). Best way to tell is to look for 'Music City' stamped in the run-out. I'd think the Counts would have a stamp in the run-out too
  21. Jamie, Jamie, Jamie! I do read your playlists, and very good they are too, but Madeline & Monticellos is such a dreadful record that you can't blame me for skipping past it M P.S. When's next Soulsville? Will try and make it this time
  22. There's a lot of speculation to whether or not he's pressing all the rarities he sells, but I've bought about 7 things from him and as far as I'm concerned they're 100% real. The rumours surrounding the Oxford Nights are certainly nottrue - a mate of mine bought one and it's absolutely pukka he got it for far less than it would cost from a UK dealer too: he payed $700 (approx £370), I payed almost double that Mark
  23. .....neither has Royal Five
  24. Never been booted
  25. Absolutely loooooooaaaaaaaads of em about best bet is to add it to your fave searches on ebay. Seen about 15 over last 6 months, many improperly listed so selling for a lot less than normal. Don't like it otherwise I'd have bought one by now. Now I know you're after one Jamie I'll buy the next cheap copy I see and sell it to you for 5 times what is cost. .....Genius! Mark
