  1. Definately a reissue Chalky my good man, remember seeing a label discography and there was about a year between the two release numbers
  2. Available on two different label designs: The second is actually a 2nd issue, and not just a different label design as most people say. These still make £100. I've got Shifty's old copy of the 1st issue, and apart from 1 on ebay I've never seen another. Very rare and better looking too Will post soundbytes up later for Ken
  3. Harry Deal is "I still love you" b/w "You're always on my mind" on Eclipse.
  4. I'd kill for a copy of "Where there's a will" on Impressario ....anyone know how much that'd cost me?
  5. Ok, suppose so. I don't really like the two Hype sides myself, think they're very average in comparison to "Can't wait". Wouldn't say no to one at £20 tho'
  6. Have seen them go for as little as $50 on ebay, but these are usually improperly listed. On the other hand seen them sell for over $200, but these tend to be blagged up a bit - £250 in the Manship guide, ultra-rare crossover dancer and all that jazz. The unpredictable world of ebay!
  7. Brilliant late 60s/crossover mover, don't know where you got mid-tempo from though Chris, sounds up-tempo to me. Bit of a double sider too, admittedly the flip isn't as good, but it's still a nice track (sounds a little earlier than "Can't wait") I bought 2 copies about 2 yrs ago for £80 each. Managed to sell 1 for £150 and the other, whitch in theory cost me a tenna, is nestled nicely in me box, and that's where it's staying
  8. Calvin Grayson - Love just begun/You've got to be willing - In Ralph Soul Jackson - Set me free/Takle me back - Black Kat Mel Britt - She'll come running back/Love invented misery - FIP JT Rhythm - My sweet baby/All I want is you - Palmer Jimmy Mack - My world is on fire/Go on - Palmer John & Weirdest - Can't get over these memories/No time - Tie Paul Sindab - Can't wait no longer/You're something else - Kasika Little Nicky Soul - I wanted to tell you/You said - Shee Charles Brandy - Without your love/I can't get enough - Blue Cat Willie Tee - I'm having so much fun/First tase of hurt - Gatur Classics - So glad that I found you/One dance - Yan-G Joe Arnold - No clouds in the sky/Ride the wind - 2 Spot High Keys - Living a lie/Let's take a chance - Verve Inticers - Since you left/I've got to find me a baby - Baby Luv Harry Starr - Another timne another place/Step into my world - End Four Voices - Your love is getting stronger/With a lonely heart - Voice Beverly & Duane - You belong to me/Love - Brown Bomber .....and the list goes on! Billy  PS - has anyone ever noticed how similar the backing tracks of "Take my heart" by Mary Saton and "Be young be foolish be happy" by the Tams are?? Anyone got a soundbyte of the Tams so I can compare?
  9. I'll make a point of playing it next time I see you then Steve Are you comin to the Friendship end of month? M
  10. Been booted - styrene with green label. Demos go for about £200, bit less for aan issue. brilliant record
  11. It's worth a tenna of anyone's money simply to be made into a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGE ashtray
  12. .....aanybody care to make me an offer? 10" Monument studio acetate "MEGA RARE"
  13. There was ojne on ebay about 2 week ago
  14. Suppose it is pretty shite.... Hands up the fool who voted "Awesome"
  15. Maxine Weldon "Pour some water on me" (Unissues Monument) Not really Northern Soul, but I quite like it. I'll leave it up to you lot though for the final decision Billy
  16. Just realised you weren't on about C.Glover, you meant Calvin Williams I'm an idiot, that's understood can't do with "Lonely you'll be". He's got such a great voice as we can tell from the flip and both the Target sides, but he sounds very white on this one. Much prefer Johnnie Mae
  17. I know it is a bit slow, but who ever ends the night always plays this followed by Roy Hamilton "Let the music play". Corey is actually a rock singer and "Little girl" is from a 1998 CD. How much is Les McGann worth, and what label's it on? Not that keen myself, very average M
  18. Yep best 10 quid I ever spent! Go on, rub it in
  19. Brilliant night last time, so if you miss this this one you miss out. If you wish to contact via email rather than phone, email l_l_m_w@hotmail.co.uk or ianjohnson63@blueyonder.co.uk
  20. The flip to Calvin Williams is even better, "It won't matter at all". There's a flip on the soulclub site. Great mid-tempo
  21. Here's mine from the Friendship last night. Posted in events, and now here too Joe Jama "My life" (Optimum) Ree Flores "Look into my heart" (United Test Pressing) Drapers "Your love has gone away" (Gee) Commands "Hey it's love" (Dynamic) Harry Starr "If this is goodbye" (IPG) Joe Arnold "Ride the wind" (2 Spot) Little Annie "Little Annie" Barbara Redd "I'll be all alone" (SPQR) Empires "You're on top girl" (Candi) Oxford Nights "I'm such a lonely one" (Delphi) Betty Wilson "I'm yours" (Dayco) Roosevelt Grier "In my tenement" (Ric) Les Watson "Soul man blues" (Pompeii) - request Harry Starr "Another time another place" (End) Ad Libs "Johnny my boy" (Blue Cat) Hamilton Movement "She's gone" (Look-Out) Continental 4 "The way I love you" (Jay-Walking) John & The Weirdest "Can't get over these memories" (Tie) Lillie Bryant "Meet me halfway" (Tay-Ster) Four Voices "Your love is getting stronger" (Voice) Corey Glover "Little Girl" (White label thingy) Billy
  22. About £50 on Elf methinks. I've got it on Pama too, certainly rarest of the two labels
  23. I'm first Would say about £400, but most copies are rough and/or have label damage, so maybe a little less. Mark
